More Busses Drop Off Illegal Migrants at VP Harris' DC Home After She Claims Border is 'Secure'

Red border state governors are continuing to make good on their pledge to force open-border Democrats to deal with the surge of illegal migrants into the country in the era of Joe Biden.

Govs. Greg Abbott of Texas, Doug Ducey of Arizona, and Ron DeSantis of Florida have been bussing and flying migrants to Washington, D.C., New York City, and Chicago, as well as wealthy liberal enclaves like Martha’s Vineyard for months now, as record numbers of illegal aliens continue flooding into the country; it should be noted that the migrants make the journeys voluntarily.

Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Biden appointed as “border czar” a month after taking office, has not been spared, either.

The Blaze reported that more buses dropped off migrants in front of Harris’ VP residence, the Naval Observatory, early Thursday.

“On Friday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s office said it had sent 8,000 migrants to D.C. since announcing the policy in April, the Texas Tribune reported. Abbott began sending the migrants to the vice president’s residence after she gave an interview on NBC News’ ‘Meet the Press’ during which she claimed the border was secure even as the U.S. is projected to have a record two million people cross the border this year,” The Blaze added.

Abbott noted earlier this week: “The Biden-Harris Administration continues ignoring and denying the historic crisis at our southern border, which has endangered and overwhelmed Texas communities for almost two years. Our supposed border czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, has yet to even visit the border to see firsthand the impact of the open border policies she has helped implement, even going so far as to claim the border is ‘secure.’”

The report noted further:

Democratic leaders in cities receiving migrants have lashed out against the governors sending them and demanded federal assistance to house them. Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser called the situation in her city a “humanitarian crisis” in July and asked for the National Guard to be activated.

Bowser declared a public emergency over the migrant buses from Texas and Arizona last month. Her declaration will activate emergency funding to care for the migrants and set up the Office of Migrant Services. The office will provide temporary accommodations, medical care, transportation, and other services for migrants, Fox News reported.

Two migrant buses arrived in New York City as well on Thursday morning. Mayor Eric Adams’ office has said more than 16,000 illegal immigrants have been sent to New York from border states since May. On Monday, the mayor blasted both the “far right” and the “far left” for failing to come up with solutions to the migrant crisis.

Border sheriffs have repeatedly pushed back on claims by Harris and other Biden regime officials that the border is “secure.”

“It was a great ploy by Governor Abbott to bring attention back to something that was kind of fading away from mainstream media,” Goliad County, Texas Sheriff Roy Boyd said last month. “He’s put it back in their lap, and I applaud him for what he’s done.”

“The border is wide open,” Boyd said. “In Texas, the Border Patrol is encountering over 100,000 illegal aliens. So every month, Border Patrol agents tell me that on a good day, they encounter between eight and 15 percent of the number of people that actually come across.”

Another Texas border county sheriff, Maverick County’s Tom Schmerber, also ripped Harris in an interview with Fox Business host Neil Cavuto.

“I haven’t seen anything that would stop this immigration problem coming through to the USA. I worked with the Border Patrol, I retired from Border Patrol, and I have never seen something like this. Once in a while we would see –  with a change of administration. We’d have a little problem but we’d stop it right away. This is not happening right now,” the sheriff continued.

“They [migrants] want to keep going north. So they will see it eventually,” Schmerber told Cavuto.
