MIT is Mandating Diversity Training; One Student Calls it 'Indoctrination'

If you plan on pursuing or continuing your education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, be prepared to take diversity training, otherwise you cannot attend.

In an email sent to all students, they were told they would not be able to register for spring classes if they did not complete diversity, equity and inclusion training.

Campus Reform Reports:

In the email, a copy of which Campus Reform obtained, MIT outlined “two required trainings,” the first one being “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” and the second being “sexual assault prevention ongoing: healthy relationships.”

“You will have a registration hold placed on your account and will be unable to register for IAP and/or spring 2021 classes if you do not complete both trainings by the Nov. 2 deadline,” the email reads.

“From my perspective, this is a gross over-reach of the school’s power,” one MIT student, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear of retribution, told Campus Reform.

The student argued that MIT was making “classes contingent upon indoctrination.”

MIT cited a 2015 push by the Black Student Union as the catalyst for the change, saying that since then, “students rated MIT as more caring, safe, and friendly.”

The training covered various topics, including the exploration of power, the definition of privilege, and different types of oppression.

In one section titled “defining privilege,” it shows a photo of a white man and says “people may be privileged through no action of their own.” I wonder if the millions of poor white people, with untold amounts of disadvantages around the country would agree they have default privilege because of their skin color.

Some of the questions included, “I’ve never been told that I’m in the wrong bathroom,” “Police officers make me feel a sense of safety,” “I never have to worry that my friends or family will be deported,” “When I graduate, my family will attend,” and “I always have a safe place to pray.”

After answering the question, students were then able to see how many students out of 100 disagreed with the statement, thereby allegedly showing their privilege.

Nothing like trying to get rid of racism by accusing people of being racist and privileged and pushing your own ideology.

A WHOPPING 56% of Americans Say They are Better off Today (Mid-Pandemic) than Under Obama-Biden

A recent Gallup survey found that a whopping 56 percent of Americans say they are better off now under President Trump–in the middle of a pandemic–than they were four years ago when President Obama was in office.

Gallup writes:

During his presidential campaign in 1980, Ronald Reagan asked Americans, “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?” Since then, this question has served as a key standard that sitting presidents running for reelection have been held to.

Gallup’s most recent survey found a clear majority of registered voters (56%) saying they are better off now than they were four years ago, while 32% said they are worse off.

Gallup compared the 56 percent number to 2012, during the Obama-Biden Administration when just 45 percent of Americans could say they felt they were better off. In 2004, 47 percent of Americans said they were better off and in 1992, that number was at 38 percent.

President Trump responded to the news, writing on Twitter, “The Gallup Poll has just come out with the incredible finding that 56% of you say that you are better off today, during a pandemic, than you were four years ago (Biden). The highest number on record! Pretty amazing!”

Affluent Chicagoans Fleeing Due to Leadership Inability to Calm BLM Violence

Many people, including President Trump himself, noted during their Republican National Convention speeches that Democratic-run cities are experiencing violence and looting, as the leaders whose policies are to blame are safely hidden in privileged areas. However, areas like Chicago have become so bad, affluent neighborhoods are no longer safe and citizens are getting out of dodge.

“Incidents of widespread looting and soaring homicide figures in Chicago have made national news during an already tumultuous year,” writes the Chicago Tribune. “As a result, some say residents in affluent neighborhoods downtown, and on the North Side, no longer feel safe in the city’s epicenter and are looking to move away.”

Liberal leadership has been unsuccessful at subduing violence from the Black Lives Matter’s highjacked movement. With no end of destruction in sight and spontaneous eruptions of violence, while residents say “they understand why protesters and rioters have poured onto the streets of downtown, and some acknowledge that crime is worse in other parts of Chicago” they still want out reports the Chicago Tribune.

Some people “agree with protesters that something systemic needs to be changed” but they “don’t want to wait it out here in the city, fearful of stepping outside at night and hoping for things to maybe get better.” A 30-year-old nurse who lives in the River North area said, “not to make it all about us; the whole world is suffering…but I do think that I’ve never had to think about my own safety in this way before.”

Hopefully, this will be a lesson to Chicagoans and similar cities, that they need to vote out their Democratic leadership who refuse to stand up to the violent protesters and also refuse to accept help and assistance offered directly from President Trump. 60-year-old Neil Spun has lived in Chicago for over half his life and is deeply conflicted about moving. A state worker, Spun said “there have been rights before, and looting. It just seems to me now that the city isn’t doing anything about it. I don’t see this getting any better, and so I’d like to leave.” Residents would be far better off voting in new leadership instead of succumbing to liberal policies that change their communities beyond recognition.
