Despite President Trump’s incredible foreign policy successes, military industrial complex elites are warning that his national security strategy of putting “America First” is dangerous and counterproductive and they can’t wait to see Joe Biden “eliminate” it.

In an op-ed titled Defense in Depth for Foreign Affairs magazine, Former Defense Secretary James Mattis and his co-authors Kori Schake of AEI and Jim Ellis and Joe Felter, both Hoover Institution fellows, write the following:

“In January, when President Joe Biden and his national security team begin to reevaluate U.S. foreign policy, we hope they will quickly revise the national security strategy to eliminate ‘America first’ from its contents, restoring in its place the commitment to cooperative security that has served the United States so well for decades. The best strategy for ensuring safety and prosperity is to buttress American military strength with enhanced civilian tools and a restored network of solid alliances – both necessary to achieving defense in depth.”

They write that the current strategy reflects an “ignorance of the extent to which both robust alliances and international institutions provide vital strategic depth.”

To Mattis and his co-authors, “America First” means “America alone” and they claim the strategy damages the United States’ ability to “address problems before they reach U.S. territory and has thus compounded the danger emergent threats pose.”

It’s worth noting that thanks to President Trump’s silly “America First” agenda, ISIS has been all but eliminated, major terror leaders such as Al Bagdadi and Qasem Soleimani have been killed, multiple historic Middle East peace deals have been negotiated and U.S. troops are continuing to leave Afghanistan and Iraq after years of seemingly endless war.

But sure, lets “eliminate” the “America First” strategy…
