The film represents the actress’s return to the romantic comedy genre after more than 10 years. In it, she plays a hotel heiress who, after a series of incidents and obstacles, winds up with amnesia. A man who owns a quaint lodge in town is played by Chord Overstreet of “Glee” fame, and the two of them, along with Overstreet’s on-screen daughter help Lohan recover in many ways.

Lohan is best known for her earlier work in memorable fils like the 1998 remake of the Disney classic “The Parent Trap,” 2003’s “Freaky Friday,” and 2004’s “Mean Girls.”

Recently in an interview, the actress discussed how she had become somewhat envious of young starts today due to the spread of social media and being able to control their “own narrative.”

“No, it is nice,” she told Cosmopolitan magazine. “Because now I feel like … when I first started out in the business, none of us had a say in how to control our own narrative.

“There were paparazzi pictures, and then people ran with it,” she noted further. “So I think it’s really good that in this day and age, people can say who they are and who they want to be. And I admire and appreciate that.”

“I’m a little jealous because I didn’t have that,” Lohan also said. “But I think it moves really fast, and I just try to keep up as best I can. And I check everything before I post it. I’ll send it to people. Because you have to.”
