Key 2024 Voter Metric Leans Heavily In Trump's Favor: Report

A key voter metric ahead of the 2024 presidential election heavily favors Donald Trump over his Democratic rival, President Joe Biden, according to a new survey.

According to a recent Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey, 54% of Republicans surveyed said that they would be “excited” about a second term of a Trump presidency.

Only 4 out of 10 Democrats believed that Biden would win the presidential election rematch against the incumbent White House president in November, while a majority of Republicans thought otherwise.

According to the poll, seven out of ten Democrats said they would feel “angry” or “fearful” if Trump were to win the presidency.

If Biden were to defeat Trump for the second time in a row, 56% of Republicans expressed the same sentiment.

Enthusiasm and distaste for the front-runners will ignite the Republican and Democratic bases in the close race, the survey found.

With less than seven months left until Election Day on November 5th, Trump is leading in public opinion polls. He has the majority of national surveys and several polls in five of the six crucial battleground states. Biden won these states by a narrow margin to become the president in 2020. Nonetheless, Biden currently has an advantage in another crucial area: fundraising.

The Biden-Trump rematch presents stark contrasts in terms of style, manner, and positions on issues like the economy, immigration, abortion, foreign policy, the war in Ukraine, and America’s future role abroad.

Biden, who four years ago became the oldest American president ever elected, will continue to face questions about his physical and mental stamina, even after his recent State of the Union address.

The president needs to showcase his capacity to motivate and engage younger voters, progressives, and crucial Democratic base supporters, such as Black and Latino Americans. Additionally, Biden is currently facing primary election protests that have caused “uncommitted” votes due to his support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas in Gaza.
