White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was grilled by Fox News correspondent Karine Jean Pierre over President Joe Biden’s lack of action against China. Doocy highlighted the increased evidence and admissions that Covid-19 originated in a Wuhan lab. Doocy asked why the White House and Biden haven’t stood up to Xi Jinping’s Chinese Communist Party.

“China flew a spycraft over the US, and the president really didn’t do anything to China,” Doocy said. “According to the FBI director, China may have created something that has killed more than 1.1 million people in this country, and President Biden is not punishing them?”

Jean Pierre shot back at Doocy, saying that Biden eventually shot down the spy balloons in a way that she said was “smart, effective, and also protected the American people.”

Jean Pierre did not acknowledge the FBI’s statements on the origins of Covid, despite the increasing evidence that that the once widely dismissed “lab leak” theory was legitimate.

“But with his campaign,” Doocy responded. “it was all about shutting down the virus, and how hard it is for families with an empty chair at the kitchen table because of Covid. If we now know, according to the FBI director, who was most likely responsible for all those empty chairs at all those kitchen tables, why not do more to hold them accountable?”

Jean Pierre did not answer the question and would instead choose to attack the Trump administration over its handling of the pandemic.

“That is responding to Covid, but where did Covid come from?” Doocy interjected.

Doocy also asked whether Biden was “afraid of China.”

“This is not a president that’s afraid of anything,” she said, noting that Biden was recently in a “war zone” in Ukraine to visit President Volodymyr Zelensky in an effort to show solidarity with the wartorn nation.
