Israeli Fighter Jets Hit 750 Hamas Military Targets Overnight in Gaza

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) conducted a series of airstrikes, hitting 750 military targets in the Gaza Strip overnight Thursday as a response to the attacks initiated by the terrorist group Hamas over the weekend.

IDF reported that dozens of fighter jets targeted various military assets belonging to Hamas, including underground terror tunnels, military compounds, residences used as military command centers, weapons storage facilities, and communication rooms.

The airstrikes also targeted senior terrorist operatives within Hamas.

The IDF also revealed that soldiers from a special unit had targeted three Hamas operatives with expertise in mortar fire at a military command center in Gaza City during these operations.

These attacks followed another wave of strikes that the IDF launched the day before. Those strikes had killed a senior Hamas leader and destroyed operational command centers in Gaza, according to IDF reports.

Hamas claimed on Friday that the Israeli military’s airstrikes on the Gaza Strip had resulted in the deaths of 13 hostages that the group had taken during its attack on Israel the previous Saturday. Israel has not confirmed this claim. These hostages had been taken during Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel, and it is unclear how many are Americans.

The White House stated that the number of American hostages is very small. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also confirmed that 27 Americans had been killed in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with over 2,800 people killed and more than 9,800 wounded on both sides. The situation remains volatile, with both Israel and Hamas continuing to engage in military operations.
