Actor Chris Pratt has found himself in hot water with social justice warriors after his joke about the 2020 election backfired with the humorless, soy-latte drinking, perpetually outraged basement dwellers.

In a post to Instagram, Pratt promoted his Pixar film “Onward” and asked his fans to vote for the movie for the People’s Choice Awards, which takes place on November 15.  He also took an epic swipe at virtue-signaling Hollywood elites for their alarmist and incessant calls for Americans to vote in the upcoming election.

“With all that’s going on in the world it is more important than ever that you vote,” he wrote to his fans. “Just ask any celebrity. They will tell you. Every day. Several times a day. To vote. But me? I will tell you EXACTLY who to vote for. #onward The heroes before us did not spill their blood only to have their sacrifices wasted by your apathy. The upcoming 2020 People’s Choice Awards is the most consequential vote in the history of mankind times a million infinity. Vote for #Onward for family movie of the year. Or else. You WILL die. No hyperbole. Click the link in my bio. Let your voice be heard.”

Fox News reports, Pratt was barraged with negative comments:

“I get this is supposed to be a cute little joke but it comes off as really insensitive. The upcoming election is really important and everyone should vote and for you to try and take that and turn it into an ad for your movie is low,” one person wrote.

“This is super insensitive. Read the room. Oh wait you did and decided to mock people,” another said.

Someone else pointed out, “I wish I found this funny.”

While another followed pointed out, “YIKES. Imagine the amount of privilege one person can have to write this tone-deaf post.”

This isn’t the first time Pratt has offended the sensibilities of liberals. In fact, last year, Democrats almost had a meltdown when he dared to wear a t-shirt emblazoned with a Gadsen flag– –a symbol which the Left decided to associate with “white supremacists.”
