House Could Have Articles of Impeachment Against Biden Before Mid-2024

The House of Representatives could face a decision on whether to impeach President Biden in the first half of next year, according to Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan.

The House GOP leaders are considering holding a vote to formalize the ongoing impeachment inquiry into the president.

Jordan, along with Oversight Chairman James Comer and Ways & Means Chairman Jason Smith, is investigating whether Biden and his family profited during his time as vice president, focusing on Biden’s push to fire a former Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma, a company where Hunter Biden served on the board.

Jordan did not confirm whether he would seek comments from the president himself but mentioned a desire to talk to people directly involved with Hunter Biden’s business, such as Tony Bobulinsky, Eric Schwerin, James Biden, and Kevin Morris.

The Judiciary Committee is expected to hear from Lesley Wolf, a prosecutor involved in the Justice Department’s criminal probe of Hunter Biden, in a closed-door deposition later this month.

Jordan expects a decision on whether to impeach Biden before mid-2024, distancing himself from concerns about political motivations.

He emphasized focusing on facts and evidence rather than politics, stating that if articles are warranted, they will take that step.

This development comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Biden’s actions related to Ukraine and allegations of profiting from his political influence.

The House GOP’s consideration of a formal impeachment inquiry vote indicates a growing push within the party to investigate and potentially impeach President Biden.

The investigation is centered on Biden’s actions in Ukraine and his family’s financial dealings, particularly Hunter Biden’s involvement with Burisma.

The outcome of this inquiry could significantly impact the political landscape leading up to the 2024 elections.
