Hillary Clinton Once Again Compares Trump to Hitler

In her recent appearance on “The View,” former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delved into her concerns regarding the potential re-election of Donald Trump in 2024, even going so far as to—once again—compare him to Adolf Hitler.

The discussion began when co-host Sunny Hostin posed the hypothetical scenario of Trump winning a second term after his 2020 defeat. Clinton expressed her inability to entertain such thoughts, asserting that it could spell “the end of our country as we know it,” she said.

Clinton argued that Trump, if re-elected, might surpass his previous term’s actions, as he would likely surround himself with individuals who lack principles and conscience.

Drawing parallels to Adolf Hitler’s rise, Clinton pointed out Trump’s supposed “authoritarian tendencies.” She suggested that, similar to Hitler, Trump could attempt to curtail democratic processes, suppress dissent, and consolidate power.

“I think he would be even worse now, because he was somewhat restrained, believe it or not, in the first term, by people who he hired because he thought they would go along with him and they stood up to him. And so now he’s going to — if he were ever near the Oval Office again — find people who have no principles, no conscience, who are totally tied to his fortune… When I was secretary of state, I used to talk about ‘one and done.’ What I meant by that is that people would get legitimately elected, and then they would try to do away with elections and do away with opposition and do away with a free press,” Clinton said.

“Hitler was duly elected right? And so, all of a sudden, somebody with those tendencies, the dictatorial, authoritarian tendencies, would be like, ‘Oh, OK, we’re going to shut this down, we’re going to throw these people in jail,’ and they didn’t usually telegraph that. Trump is telling us what he intends to do,” she said.

The conversation extended to Clinton’s previous call for the “formal deprogramming” of Trump supporters.

She characterized these individuals as extremists taking marching orders from a self-serving Trump, whose credibility she asserted is waning rapidly due to ongoing legal battles. Clinton concluded by questioning when Trump’s supporters might break with him, indicating a need for some form of intervention or reevaluation within the Republican Party. The overall tone conveyed a sense of urgency and apprehension about the potential ramifications of a Trump return to the Oval Office.
