'Grim Old Man Screaming': Biden's Dark Prime-Time Speech Ripped to Shreds for Threatening Tone

President Joe Biden on Thursday evening delivered what many believe is the most divisive, explosive speech in the history of our republic, as he called out at least half the country and painted them as enemies of the state.

And in response, Biden was rightfully called out — and blasted — for his remarks.

Biden inappropriately chose Independence Hall in Philadelphia, which is literally the birthplace of our nation, to call out “MAGA Republicans” as a threat to the country and to freedom during his prime-time outrage, complete with U.S. Marines as a prop, drawing not a few comparisons to Nazi Germany.

“We must be honest with each other and with ourselves,” Biden said at one point. “Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

“MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution,” he falsely claimed. “They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election” (like Democrats and their chosen nominee, Hillary Clinton, refused to do in 2016).

“And they’re working right now, as I speak in state after state, to give the power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies, empowering election-deniers to undermine democracy itself.” (Actually, Democrats are the ones pushing to federalize all elections and rig them in their favor).

“MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards. Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love. They promote authoritarian leaders and they fan the flames of political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country,” Biden claimed.

Actually, Democrats want to take away your right to choose by imposing their will on everyone. They hate the Constitution, which is why they want to pack the Supreme Court. Democrats imposing their will makes them the authoritarians. And the right backs the rule of law and our founding document, which is why states now get to decide the abortion issue on their own. And so forth.

Needless to say, conservatives including self-avowed “MAGA Republicans” like Charlie Kirk were not only outraged by Biden’s speech, but defiant in the face of legitimate tyranny.

“Evening address, dark lighting, somber tone, Marines in the background; this speech was designed like a declaration of war against enemies of the state And that is precisely the point,” he noted on Twitter.

He added: “I am a MAGA American and I will not apologize for that.”

Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro agreed. “That was the most demagogic, outrageous, and divisive speech I have ever seen from an American president. Joe Biden essentially declared all those who oppose him and his agenda enemies of the republic. Truly shameful,” he wrote.

He noted further: “This image is the worst piece of presidential optics I have ever seen. Let us count the reasons.1. Lighting a historic American site — the site of our founding documents — blood red. 2. The red-and-black background against the front-lit visage of a grim old man screaming at Americans, fists clenched.”

Other notable figures offered similar criticism.

“I can’t believe this is a real photograph. It depicts the president of our nation, as he took to the airwaves and spoke about his fellow citizens as if they were sewer rats,” J.D. Vance, the GOP nominee for U.S. Senate in Ohio, added.

Also, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Biden has contributed a great deal to all of the current division in America while also putting his political opponents’ safety in jeopardy.

“Joe Biden’s wretched attacks on millions of Americans have fueled attacks on pregnancy centers, Republican offices, and an assassination attempt on a Supreme Court Justice,” McDaniel said. “His agenda has pitted neighbors against each other, rewarded the wealthy while punishing working families, and trampled on the rights and freedoms of Americans. Joe Biden is the divider-in-chief and epitomizes the current state of the Democrat Party: one of divisiveness, disgust, and hostility towards half the country.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson appeared to be visibly shaken by the things that Biden said and the optics of his speech.

“We made fun of it at the top of the show because we really didn’t know how else to respond,” Carlson commented. “But Joe Biden crossed into a very dangerous, very dangerous place. Tonight he declared in a speech in Philadelphia that anyone who disagrees with him is a threat to the country.”
