The wife of Democratic Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman has fled to Canada with the couple’s children for some “joy and fun.” The surprise trip comes after John checked himself into Walter Reed Medical Center for “clinical depression,” where he is expected to stay for “weeks.”
Fetterman’s Chief of Staff released a statement nearly two weeks ago that confirmed that Fetterman was checking himself in: “While John has experienced depression off and on throughout his life, it only became severe in recent weeks,” the statement adds. “On Monday, John was evaluated by Dr. Brian P. Monahan, the Attending Physician of the United States Congress. Yesterday, Dr. Monahan recommended inpatient care at Walter Reed. John agreed, and he is receiving treatment on a voluntary basis.”
A sitting U.S. Senator was admitted to a hospital nearly 2 weeks ago, we have received no updates about his condition, the press refuses to ask questions, and his wife left the country with their kids.
What is going on with John Fetterman?

Fetterman’s wife Gisele tweeted, “after what he’s been through in the past year, there’s probably no one who wanted to talk about his own health less than John. I’m so proud of him for asking for help and getting the care he needs.”
This woman is the biggest sociopath in America. She knew her husband had a serious problem yet forced him to stay in the race because being a powerful political wife apparently meant so much to her that she was willing to permanently damage her husband's health. pic.twitter.com/EKT0dsby66

Gisele tweeted on Friday, “I am not really sure how to navigate this journey but am figuring it out slowly. 1 week ago today when the news dropped, the kids were off from school and media trucks circled our home. I did the first thing I could think of … pack them in the car and drive.”
“We drove straight into … Canada (and lovely Buffalo NY) (Pro Tip: always have passports ready just in case you have to run away ) We talked about lots of hard things and how we will all have to face hard things. About the need to be gentle … with all and with ourselves,” she added.
We also talked about how joy and fun can and must still exist, even when someone we love is in pain. And tomorrow? Who knows. Will try all over again. ❤️

Her and her kids went to Niagara Falls. “We did some scary things but we did them together. We ziplined over Niagara Falls and August got stuck . We talked about flexibility and the need to always have an open heart and an open mind. We also talked about how joy and fun can and must still exist, even when someone we love is in pain. And tomorrow? Who knows. Will try all over again,” she added.
