Fetterman Hitting Biden-Levels of Unpopularity in PA

Democratic Sen. John Fetterman is experiencing a sharp decline in popularity among Pennsylvania voters, reflecting the diminishing support for President Biden in their home state.

According to a recent Quinnipiac poll, half of the voters in the Keystone State disapprove of Fetterman’s job performance, while only 39% approve. President Biden, a Scranton native, fares even worse, with 57% of Pennsylvanians expressing their disapproval of his presidential performance, while only 39% approve.

The poll also shows that Fetterman receives much harsher criticism compared to other Democratic politicians in the state. Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro enjoys a 57% job approval rating, with only 23% disapproving.

Democratic Sen. Bob Casey also receives favorable ratings from voters, with 44% approving of his job performance and 32% disapproving. The remaining percentages account for individuals who did not offer an opinion.

Fetterman has faced challenges during Senate hearings and public events since assuming office, often struggling to c even express himself since he had a stroke.

His office has vehemently criticized those who draw attention to this issue and maintains that he is perfectly fine apart from auditory processing difficulties, though it is obvious to any observer that Fetterman has intense problems when communicating ideas.

Following over a month of hospitalization for clinical depression treatment, Fetterman disclosed that his depression had been “in full force” during his initial weeks in the Senate.

The senator initially suffered the stroke in May 2022 while campaigning for the Pennsylvania Senate race, resulting in auditory processing challenges.

Fetterman described his sole debate against Dr. Mehmet Oz during the midterms as akin to “trying to run a marathon with a broken ankle.” To accommodate his needs, Fetterman was provided with a closed captioning system during the debate, enabling him to read the questions.
