FAT FINE: NYC to impose up to $1000 in fines for not wearing mask

Mayor Bill de Blasio: “Anyone who refuses to wear a face-covering will be told that if they don’t put one on, they will be fined"

After the largest coronavirus spike New York City has seen since June, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that he will implement fines for city-goers who refuse to wear face coverings.

And he’s not messing around.

If you’re caught without a mask, the according fines could be as high as $1000, according to NPR.

City personnel will hand out free masks to anyone who is not wearing a face covering, the mayor said.

“Anyone who refuses to wear a face-covering will be told that if they don’t put one on, they will be fined,” de Blasio said. The new implementation will be effective immediately and on a large scale.

“Our goal, of course, is to give everyone a free face mask and get them to wear it. We don’t want to fine people,” said de Blasio.

While the city is seeing a tremendous increase in cases throughout its entirety, the main uptick is occurring primarily in nine zip codes in Brooklyn and Queens, including areas with tight-knit Orthodox Jewish Communities. Health officials are emphasizing outreach to these communities, according to NPR.

The cases in these nine zip codes account for 25% of the city’s overall cases, even though they only host seven percent of the overall city’s population, according to New York City’s health commissioner Dave Chokshi. This concentration will become a key focus in efforts to decrease the transmission of the disease.

To enforce this new mandate, every agency in the city will play a role, according to the mayor, including the Sheriff’s Office and the New York Police Department.

BUSTED: NYT Reporter Attacks Non-Mask Wearing Republicans, While Not Wearing A Mask

2020 has brought out a level of hypocrisy in liberals such that there needs to be an invention of another word that means “so much hypocrisy” that it makes regular hypocrisy look mild in comparison. Enter, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for the New York Times, Matthew Rosenberg. Rosenberg is also a CNN national security analyst who gained notoriety for his writings promoting the Russiagate hoax to the Trump-hating mainstream media.

In another attempt to bully Republicans and make conservatives look bad, Rosenberg’s efforts backfired. Tweeting from an event for a Republican, he posted a photo of a ‘Trump 2020’ pin alongside a ‘Vote Marjorie’ pin and wrote, “Souvenirs from a night spent packed into a room with Marjorie Taylor Greene and a crowd of her most devoted supporters in Dalton, GA. Masks very much optional – and unworn. As Taylor put it, she’s for ‘the unmasking of America.”

Forced to sit amongst the non-mask-wearing Republicans and Trump supporters who sat in front of a ‘God Bless Our Nation’ flag, Rosenberg expressed his contempt for their behavior. As he furthered the fear-mongering with his tweets, and his “sanctimonious display and attempts to smear Greene and her supporters” there he sat…NOT wearing a mask.

Photos from Green’s campaign account reveal Rosenberg sitting amongst the very crowd he chastises for not wearing a mask, while not wearing a mask. As The National Pulse reports, “The double-standard speaks to the mainstream media’s willingness to peddle blatant lies in an attempt to smear Trump-supporting Republicans” is exactly right.

Affluent Chicagoans Fleeing Due to Leadership Inability to Calm BLM Violence

Many people, including President Trump himself, noted during their Republican National Convention speeches that Democratic-run cities are experiencing violence and looting, as the leaders whose policies are to blame are safely hidden in privileged areas. However, areas like Chicago have become so bad, affluent neighborhoods are no longer safe and citizens are getting out of dodge.

“Incidents of widespread looting and soaring homicide figures in Chicago have made national news during an already tumultuous year,” writes the Chicago Tribune. “As a result, some say residents in affluent neighborhoods downtown, and on the North Side, no longer feel safe in the city’s epicenter and are looking to move away.”

Liberal leadership has been unsuccessful at subduing violence from the Black Lives Matter’s highjacked movement. With no end of destruction in sight and spontaneous eruptions of violence, while residents say “they understand why protesters and rioters have poured onto the streets of downtown, and some acknowledge that crime is worse in other parts of Chicago” they still want out reports the Chicago Tribune.

Some people “agree with protesters that something systemic needs to be changed” but they “don’t want to wait it out here in the city, fearful of stepping outside at night and hoping for things to maybe get better.” A 30-year-old nurse who lives in the River North area said, “not to make it all about us; the whole world is suffering…but I do think that I’ve never had to think about my own safety in this way before.”

Hopefully, this will be a lesson to Chicagoans and similar cities, that they need to vote out their Democratic leadership who refuse to stand up to the violent protesters and also refuse to accept help and assistance offered directly from President Trump. 60-year-old Neil Spun has lived in Chicago for over half his life and is deeply conflicted about moving. A state worker, Spun said “there have been rights before, and looting. It just seems to me now that the city isn’t doing anything about it. I don’t see this getting any better, and so I’d like to leave.” Residents would be far better off voting in new leadership instead of succumbing to liberal policies that change their communities beyond recognition.
