Far-Left Dems Slam Biden Over Israel Support

President Biden’s decision to bypass Congress for the second time to send aid to Israel is drawing criticism from fellow Democrats, especially those on the far left.

Representative Ilhan Omar called it “morally indefensible,” expressing concern about supplying weapons that may contribute to civilian casualties and ethnic cleansing.

Some humanitarian and national organizations had previously urged the administration not to provide certain munitions due to their alleged indiscriminate use against civilians, violating U.S. and international law.

Senator Tim Kaine, a Biden ally and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, emphasized Congress’s crucial role in matters of war and peace, demanding transparency over weapons transfers. Kaine criticized the administration for keeping the American people uninformed and called for a public explanation.

Representative Cori Bush accused the White House of hypocrisy, condemning extreme Israeli comments while bypassing Congress to send weapons. She questioned the administration’s stance on upholding international law while contributing to violations through arms shipments.

Similarly, Representative Lloyd Doggett criticized the Biden administration for bypassing Congress to send arms to Israel, highlighting the contradiction between calling for fewer deaths in Gaza and providing more weapons to Netanyahu.

The State Department, under Secretary Antony Blinken, recently announced an emergency determination to bypass Congress for an emergency arms sale to Israel worth $147.5 billion. This decision follows a similar one made on December 9.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, initiated by a surprise attack from Gaza militants on October 7, has resulted in a significant loss of lives.

Israel’s response, including a ground invasion and bombardment, has led to over 22,000 deaths in Gaza, according to Hamas-controlled Health Ministry, meaning this figure is not reliable.

Criticism from within the Democratic party highlights concerns about the transparency and rationale behind the Biden administration’s decisions. Fox News Digital reached out to the White House and the State Department for comment.
