Elon Musk Calls for Release of Jacob Chansley After New Jan 6 Footage Emerges

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, Twitter, and Space X, recently called for the release of the “Q-Anon Shaman” following the release of never-before-seen CCTV footage from the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. The footage was aired by Tucker Carlson, who claimed that the January 6 Committee had lied about the events that unfolded that day. The footage showed that Jacob Chansley, the man known as the “Q-Anon Shaman,” was not the violent insurrectionist that he was said to be.

Chansley was sentenced to four years in prison for his crimes of trespassing, but as Carlson showed, that depiction of Chansley was far from the truth.The re-emerged footage showed Chansley telling protestors to turn away and go home during the riot.

“Donald Trump has asked everybody to go home!” Chansley can be seen announcing into a megaphone to the crowd at the doors to the building. “We made our point, Donald Trump asked us to go home.”

Following the footage’s release, Donald Trump congratulated Tucker Carlson for exposing the truth about the January 6 events. Trump also accused the January 6 Committee of being criminal fabricators and demanded that “Trump” and most others be let go free.

Musk took to Twitter to support Chansley’s release, saying: “Justice is no longer a thing in the US.”
