Elderly Pro-Life Activists Brutally Assaulted Outside Baltimore Planned Parenthood Clinic

An aggressive assault took place last week after two elderly men were physically beaten while peacefully praying outside a Baltimore Planned Parenthood clinic.

Mark Crosby, 73, and Dick Schaefer, 80, were victims of a vicious attack, leaving blood on the sidewalk and Schaefer with a fractured bone in his face, according to The Daily Signal.

The suspect who has not been identified approached Schaefer aggressively, opposing his pro-life values, before he tackled him  into a large flower pot. Crosby rushed to help but was also attacked.

The attacker handed his drink to a Planned Parenthood escort before launching the assault.

Pro-life activist John Roswell provided an update to LifeSiteNews in an email on the victims’ condition, revealing the severity of their injuries.

Schaefer was “slammed” against the building’s glass, while Crosby suffered a completely fractured bone in his upper right cheek, bleeding from an unidentified area behind his eye, and a shattered eye orbit that requires replacement with metal.

Dr. Jay Walton, president of Baltimore County Right to Life, initiated a fundraising campaign for Crosby.

The GoFundMe has already raised over $40,000.

Walton emphasized that this was a targeted incident of severe violence against some one who simply has pro-life values. Walton said Tuesday, “It is important to note that the two victims were not robbed. This was a vicious attack on two men because they are pro-life. This should be treated as a hate crime and denounced by Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott (D), as well as Maryland Governor Wes Moore (D). Their silence on this attack will continue to put pro-lifers in danger throughout the state of Maryland,” according to The Daily Signal.

The trend of attacks on pro-life organizations and churches continues across the United States, with the Biden administration showing clearly that they will tolerate the violence.

Since the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion proposing to reverse Roe v. Wade in May 2022, Catholic Vote reports 157 churches and 87 pregnancy resource centers have been targeted.

Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) highlighted the incideous acts of firebombing, vandalism, online harassment, and threats of violence outside pregnancy resource centers and churches.
