Donald Trump Launches $475 MILLION Defamation Lawsuit Against CNN

Former President Donald Trump is officially suing CNN in a federal court in Florida for defamation.

Trump’s attorneys claim that CNN “has sought to use its massive influence — purportedly as a ‘trusted’ news source — to defame the Plaintiff in the minds of its viewers and readers for the purpose of defeating him politically, culminating in CNN claiming credit for ‘[getting] Trump out’ in the 2020 presidential election.”

Over $475 million in damages is being sought.

The announcement was made in July of 2022 that he would be suing CNN, saying: “I have notified CNN of my intent to file a lawsuit over their repeated defamatory statements against me.”

“I will also be commencing actions against other media outlets who have defamed me and defrauded the public regarded the overwhelming evidence of fraud throughout the 20202 Election. I will never stop fighting for the truth and for the future of our Country!” Trump said at the time.

In accordance with Florida Statues, the letter states that CNN must “publish a full and fair correction, apology, or retraction, in the same editions or corresponding issues of the website publication in which the aforementioned articles, transcripts, or broadcasts appeared and in as conspicuous a place and type as said original article, transcript or broadcast” within 10 days of receiving the letter or face lawsuits or damages being brought against the outlet. CNN did not do so.

The 282-page letter sent in July included 34 examples of that should be corrected, which includes CNN articles, and transcriptions of broadcasts.

It was revealed in April of 2021 that CNN was intentionally spreading Biden propaganda, with CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester was caught admitting that CNN used their platform to help Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, to the detriment of then President Donald Trump, reported Project Veritas in an exclusive video.
