A shocking report revealing that two Yemeni nationals on the FBI’s Terrorism Watch List and No-Fly List were apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border was deleted from U.S. Border Patrol’s website due to “national security” matters.

A press release on the incident was posted to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol’s website on Monday, but was subsequently removed by Tuesday morning.

A CBP spokesperson told Breitbart, “The news release in question was not properly reviewed and contained certain disclosure and policy information related to national security that required CBP to remove it from our website.”

The two men were apprehended by El Centro Border Patrol agents in California after illegally crossing the U.S. border.

One man, a 26-year-old from Yemen was apprehended on March 30. The other man 33, also from Yemen, was detained on January 29. Both men were found in the same location, west of the Calexico Port of Entry.

Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino said in a statement, “Part of the Border Patrol’s mission states we will protect the country from terrorists. Today, like every other day, our agents did that. These apprehensions at our border illustrate the importance of our mission and how we can never stop being vigilant in our everyday mission to protect this great country.”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki downplayed the story yesterday, telling reporters that the incidents are “rare” and a “reflection of [Border Patrol] doing their job.”
