‘Dark Horse’: Megyn Kelly Says Katie Britt May Be On Trump’s VP Shortlist

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly stunned her audience when she spoke about who she believes is on former President Donald Trump’s shortlist for vice president.

She showed a video of the former president speaking to Newsmax host Greg Kelly (no relation) where he said that he removed “some people” who he “didn’t think behaved properly” out of the veepstakes.

“Does ‘they didn’t behave appropriately,’ do you think — we’re trying to get into his mind — mean somebody who attacked him?” the former Fox News host said. “Because I think, I think he would have used a different word. You know, ‘They turned out to be losers.’ You know, I think he would have been stronger in his condemnation and he might have even named them, if they had actually slammed him.”

Some have suggested that Alabama Republican Sen. Katie Britt damaged herself with her response to President Joe Biden’s State of The Union.

“I have my own theory,” she said. “My theory is it could be a reference to a rising star in the Republican Party who had such heat and buzz around them that they were asked to deliver the response to the State of the Union — and then bombed.”

She said that to the former president, the “worst sin is to embarrass” Trump because he “has an eye for television.” To that end, she said she believed that the former president “made more from Celebrity Apprentice and The Apprentice than he made in his real estate empire.”

Kelly said that Sen. Britt could still be a dark horse candidate for the vice presidency position, but she thinks it would be a longshot.

“Okay. Zero chance he didn’t realize what a train wreck that was,” she said of the senator’s performance after the State of the Union. “He praised her at a rally over the weekend like a classy guy. Um, but there’s zero chance he didn’t see what the rest of us saw. So what do you think of my theory?”

Kelly was among those who skewered Sen. Britt after she gave her rebuttal to Biden’s speech.

“I don’t know what the f I saw. I agree with the people saying she looked like she was auditioning for a show on Lifetime. The drama, the fake affectation, the over-the-top portrayal of emotions. I did not believe she was feeling at all, her inauthenticity, it was totally cringe as the kids would say. Sorry, this is how I saw it,” she said.
