'Climate' Alarmists Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Slammed For Taking 'Russian Oligarch Kind Of Jet' Back to U.S. After Queen's Jubilee

When it comes to the global warming/climate change alarmist elite, the best indicator of just how serious they are is usually found in what they do, not the lectures they give the rest of us.

Case in point: Joe Biden’s “climate czar” John Kerry. After he was blasted for flying around the world in a private jet to blast others for flying around the world in jets, among other fossil fuel ‘outrages,’ he justified his actions essentially by saying he’s too important to fly commercial.

This brings us to Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, two more climate change alarmists whose personal actions do not match their incessant preaching on the subject.

The New York Post reports:

What royal hypocrites.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being blasted by critics for returning from Queen Elizabeth II’s four-day Platinum Jubilee celebration in a pollution-spewing private jet fit for a Russian oligarch, according to a report.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who left the 96-year-old monarch’s bash prior to Sunday’s finale, flew back to California on a Bombardier Global 6000 — an “ultra-long-range” jet that can soar 6,000 miles without refueling. The swanky aircraft also features a “private stateroom” and can carry up to 13 passengers, the Times reported Tuesday.

The couple took the jet on their 5,500-mile trip from Farnborough, England, to Santa Barbara, which — according to estimates from a chartered flight provider — emitted some 60 tones of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Per the terms of the Paris Climate Accords, which ostensibly aim to keep planetary warming under 2 degrees Celsius, the annual carbon ‘budget’ for ordinary beings is limited to around 2.1 tons per year. The Times noted that the royal couple’s single flight exceeded that limit by nearly 15 times.

“They pontificate about helping people and the planet and then they take private jets,” royal expert Tom Quinn told the paper. “They tell people to look after the environment and then they don’t look after the environment themselves. It’s enormously hypocritical.”

The Bombardier 6000 is a “Russian oligarch kind of jet” and a natural choice for people who “just don’t care,” Quinn added.

“It’s bad enough to get private jets, but to get one where the emissions are particularly bad is almost like sticking two fingers up at the environmental lobby,” he noted further.

Meanwhile, “the carbon emission rating of flying economy on a commercial flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles is 1.4 tons, according to a climate consultancy cited by the Times,” The Post reported.

Last year, in a much-hyped interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry claimed that he would work to ‘offset’ any carbon emissions from his flights.

“We need to do better about stopping or allowing the things that are causing so much harm to so many of us at the source, rather than being distracted by the symptom,” Harry told Winfrey.

So much for that.

Meanwhile, Kerry is exactly the same kind of elitist hypocrite.

“John Kerry’s climate hypocrisy is writ large,” said Steve Milloy, a former member of President Trump’s transition team and founder of JunkScience.com.

In a statement to Fox News, he added that “[i]f climate is such an immediate and existential crisis, how does [Kerry] dare own a home on the island of Martha’s Vineyard? The only question about all this is the flavor of Kerry’s hypocrisy – elitist, cynical or both?”

“Elitist Kerry has justified his massive carbon footprint by saying that he is an important guy and must jet everywhere to save the planet. On the other hand, cynical Kerry has admitted that even if the world cut emissions to zero, that would not solve the ‘climate problem’ … Sure, Kerry makes a good poster child for climate hypocrisy, but he is not alone,” Milloy continued.

“Al Gore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Leonardo DiCaprio, Barack Obama are some other mega-carbon footprint-making climate alarmists that come to mind. Having learned nothing from Marie Antoinette, these climate hypocrites sabotage their own efforts,” he said.
