Charlie Kirk’s Message of Non-Violence Greeted by ANTIFA Threats, Oregon TPUSA Event

A fifth Oregon venue has cancelled Turning Point USA President Charlie Kirk’s Critical Racism Tour after it received violent threats from Antifa and far-left activists. The most recent cancellation was from the Holiday Inn Express Eugene Springfield. Vice President of Operations Terry Goldman sent an email cancelling the event just hours before it was to take place, stating:

“After careful consideration, we have made the decision to not allow tonight’s event to proceed at our hotel. We apologize or the short notice, and are making this decision out of an abundance of caution for the safety and security of our staff and guests.”

Last month, the Graduate Hotel near the University of Oregon also cancelled the CRT event stating, “the Hotel has received various communications indicating that the Event will cause damage or disruption to the Hotel’s premises, operation, guests, or reputation.”

Ironically, as violent groups are forcing cancellations of Kirk’s events, he is trending online for vehemently denouncing violence. At Tuesday evening’s Critical Racism event in Idaho, an individual in the audience called for violence.

Many in the crowd and social media speculated the individual could have been a leftist plant. The man asked Kirk “when do we get to use the guns” to fight back against “corporate and medical fascism.” The man continued, “that’s not a joke, I’m not saying it like that. I mean, literally, where’s the line? How many elections are they going to steal before we kill these people?”

Kirk immediately shut down the question and condemned the comments and demanded any cheering from audience members stop. “Now, I’m going to denounce that and tell you why. Because you’re playing into all their plans, and they’re trying to make you do this,” said Kirk.

“They are trying to provoke you, and everyone here, they are trying to make you do something that will be violent that will justify a takeover of your freedoms and liberties, the likes of which we have never seen,” Kirk continued.

“We are close to having momentum to be able to get this country back on a trajectory using the peaceful means that we have. To answer your question, and I just think it’s overly blunt, we have to be the ones that do not play into the violent aims and ambitions of the other side” added Kirk.
