California School District Pushes Far-Left Gender Ideology and Critical Race Theory

A northern California school district is teaching left-wing talking points as fact, including that “gender is a scam,” while including elements of critical race theory.

The Davis Joint Unified School District’s Office of School Climate says it is “responsible for supporting district staff, and recommending and piloting ways to address structural oppression and to enhance school climate, equity, diversity, and inclusion.”

The school district’s website contains various radical left-wing points of view. One presentation urged its audience to “decolonize” their language. It also peddles ideas such as white fragility.

The district also promotes what it calls a “White Privilege Conference.”

The White Privilege Conference, created by the aptly named Privilege Institute, is held annually, provides staff with “an opportunity for participants to discuss how white privilege, white supremacy, and oppression affects daily life while giving strategies for addressing issues of privilege and oppression and advancing social and economic justice.”

Keynote speakers include noted race grifter Robin DiAngelo, who has on multiple occasions condemned all white people.

Other courses included in the conference include “Critical Race Theory/Critical Race Feminism: Creating a Plan of Action during the Biden-Harris era, and “The Making and Remaking of Whiteness.”

The district also promotes ideas peddled by the widely criticized 1619 Project.

The district, which has 8,500 students from K-12, also teaches staff anti-bias training via Learning for Justice, which was created by the SPLC.

Students are also provided with reading materials on how to find out they’re racist. These include links such as “100 Race-Conscious Things You Can Say To Your Child To Advance Racial Justice.”

One excerpt from a reading material states: “if you are White and you commit a crime … police might say ‘that was wrong, don’t do that again,’ and that’s all…but if you are Black and commit the same crime, they might arrest you and you might go to prison.”

Other topics include how gender isn’t real and genitalia are meaningless, with lines such as “some people are born with penises but feel like girls on the inside and some people are born with vaginas but feel like boys on the inside. We can’t always tell if someone is a boy or a girl just by looking at them and that’s okay.”
