Boss of DNC Says Quiet Part Out Loud: Party Cannot 'Play Fair' During 2022 Midterms

Democrats are becoming more and more desperate the closer the country gets to the 2022 midterms.

President Joe Biden’s approval rating is in the toilet, while his vice president, Kamala Harris, has consistently polled even worse. The economy is stagnating, inflation is soaring, gas and diesel fuel prices continue to rise, home and automobile prices are artificially high, and the administration is seen as impotent on the world stage as war rages again in eastern Europe.

That said, party bosses aren’t about to simply give up and roll over and are preparing to do whatever it takes — in every sense of that phrase — to keep from being completely blown out in November, as the head of the Democratic National Committee has just admitted publicly, albeit on a little-watched program on a lunatic fringe network.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Tiffany Cross, DNC chief Jaime Harrison agreed with an assessment from a journalist during a previous interview that the party could not “play fair” during the 2022 midterm elections.

Harrison’s remarks to host Tiffany Cross came in relation to the Democratic Party’s elect prospects for later this year.

According to Mediate:

Cross had a one-on-one discussion with Harrison for her show The Cross Connection during which they covered the midterms and how Democrats can overcome what looks like a wave for Republicans in November. They covered a variety of angles, including their shared belief that the “mainstream media” isn’t doing enough to get the party’s message out there.

Cross then referred to Republicans as “fascists” after journalist Roland Martin earlier suggested that the GOP somehow operates unfairly.

“Let’s talk about the fascists on the other side. So I hear that, but I do think there are a lot of people – because you know, like we were just talking about, you and I, we consume, you know, eight papers in the morning,” Cross said to Harrison.

“We look at the minutia of politics and most Americans are not doing that. And there are still a lot of people who feel disconnected from the party or maybe even disappointed in the party. Fair enough. I want you to take a listen. We had Roland Martin on at the beginning of the show –”

“Brother Rolo,” Harrison said.

“Brother Rolo is never shy about giving his opinion. So he had a lot to say about what he thinks Democrats should be doing. I want you to take a listen to get your thoughts,” she said before playing a clip of Martin, who said earlier:

You’ve got to have President Joe Biden stop being scared of Senate Joe Manchin and go make the argument in West Virginia and go to the rand parts of Mississippi and Alabama and say, this is what we have done and these folks voted against it and this is how we have delivered. They’ve got to be willing to engage in war. You cannot play fair with people who don’t play fair. There are no rules. The other side has shown that they will do whatever is necessary in order to win. So you’ve got to say, America, when they didn’t care about you, we did.

“What are your thoughts? I felt like that was a good road map,” Cross said.

“It is a good road map,” Harrison said, clearly indicating he agreed with the strategy.

The late Rush Limbaugh opined some years ago that Democrats appear to be working to weaken Americans’ trust in the current electoral processes and system ahead of ‘suggesting’ the implementation of an alternative system that would see them obtain power in perpetuity.

As usual, Rush’s observation was prophetic.
