Blue City Quietly Sending Illegal Aliens To Red State

The hypocrisy of blue “sanctuary” cities who for years have claimed they are welcome to illegal immigrants is continuing.

The self-proclaimed sanctuary city of Denver, Colorado, is funding the travel costs of illegal immigrants to Utah, as stated by Republican Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox.

Denver has been financing the relocation of migrants to other areas, including Utah, where approximately 2,000 have been sent, without informing or receiving approval from local officials, as reported by 2KUTD News. Utah Governor Spencer Cox criticized this practice on Friday, calling it “unacceptable” and attributing it to the Biden administration’s immigration policies, the Daily Caller reported.

Denver has experienced an influx of migrants in recent months, leading to budget cuts to accommodate the new arrivals. But rather than complain about the issue to President Joe Biden, whose lax enforcement policies created the problem, Democrat mayors have remained silent and are now going back on their previous “sanctuary” pledges.

“We recently learned that the Democrat mayor of Denver has been sending illegal immigrants to Utah without proper notification or approval,” Cox wrote Friday on X. “This is completely unacceptable and follows on the failed catch-and-release policy of the Biden administration.”

Cox wrote that Utah’s resources “are completely depleted.” His office told the outlet they learned about the city sending migrants on May 13.

“All 50 states, including Utah, are now border states due to the failed immigration policies of President Biden and Congress,” Cox continued. “Once again we call on the Biden administration and Congress to solve this crisis.”

For Denver’s part, officials there blamed Texas (not Biden).

“The vast majority of newcomers arriving in Denver do so on buses chartered from Texas and had no intention of ever coming to Denver,” Jordan Fuja, spokesperson for Democratic Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, told Axios. “That’s why part of our operations include purchasing tickets for newcomers to get to their desired location.”
