Biden Set to Make Violence Crime Worse with 'Police Reform' Executive Order

With his legislative agenda stalled and Democrats needing a political win ahead of this year’s midterm elections, President Joe Biden appears set to enact “police reforms” via executive order, though it’s not at all clear he has the constitutional authority to issue it.

What’s more, though the details are still sketchy, critics are already predicting that the order will contain a bevy of left-wing ‘soft on crime’ provisions that will make current spikes in crime even worse.

NBC News reports:

The executive actions would follow Biden’s uphill battle to advance voting rights legislation, and could coincide with a similar effort by some Democratic lawmakers to revive the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which stalled on Capitol Hill after failed attempts to craft a bipartisan measure.

The focus on police reforms is part of what appears to be a last-ditch effort by the Biden administration to take action on some of the president’s signature initiatives in the run-up to his State of the Union Address on March 1. In addition to voting rights and policing, the White House and congressional Democrats are considering ways to resurrect Biden’s Build Back Better package, either by paring back the legislation or separating it into two bills, according to three sources familiar with the discussions.

The Democrat-controlled House passed a sweeping ‘police reform’ measure last year but it went nowhere in the evenly-divided Senate because the legislation was essentially written by the party’s reactionary, counter-revolutionary left and contained a host of measures that, if they survived court challenges, would have essentially neutered local departments and led to even greater explosions in violent crime, according to rational experts.

Still, because Biden needs a political win to parade before the cameras, it’s likely this order is coming within the next few weeks.

“I still hope to sign into law a comprehensive and meaningful police reform bill that honors the name and memory of George Floyd, because we need legislation to ensure lasting and meaningful change,” Biden said in September, meaning, in reality, ‘Democrats can’t let a chance to capitalize off that tragedy go to waste.’

“But this moment demands action, and we cannot allow those who stand in the way of progress to prevent us from answering the call,” he added. “That is why my Administration has already taken important steps, with the Justice Department announcing new policies on chokeholds, no-knock warrants, and body cameras.”

Nothing in there about resisting arrest or striking police officers though, as noted by Mike Miller at Red State, who added:

While details of what Biden might dictate via executive order are not yet known, it’s certain that by “reform,” the old pandering Democrat politician will force changes to law enforcement that are 180-degrees wrong, as out-of-control rampant crime in once-safe American cities continues.

One need look no further than New York City and the newly-installed Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, who made headlines by announcing various crimes his office will no longer prosecute, for probable things to come from Corn Pop’s pandering pal.

Or a dozen other major cities around the country: Los Angeles, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, and so on — all places where far-left ‘criminal justice reform’ (nee ‘soft on crime’) policies have been implemented.

So what does Biden do? He crafts an order that essentially blames police for the spikes in crime while making it more difficult for them to do their jobs.

But that’s not even the most astounding part.

Limousine liberals including Hollywood and entertainment elites and the Silicon Valley/Big Tech protected class hire their own armed security teams as ordinary Americans are left at the mercy of violent criminals — including many, many Democratic voters who have failed to make the connection between leftist crime policies and rises in crime.
