Biden's Mishandling Of Chinese Spy Balloon Made America Look 'Weak' On World Stage: POLL

A new poll has found that nearly 60 percent of Americans believe that President Joe Biden mishandled the Chinese spy balloon situation and that it “made America look weak” on the world stage.

The poll by the Trafalgar Group asked, What is your opinion on the Biden Administration’s handling of the Chinese spy balloon? To which 34.5 percent said that the crisis should have been dealt with sooner, 28.90 percent said that the crisis was mishandled, and just over a third, or 36.6 percent said that the crisis was handled appropriately.

The next question asked, “Do you believe President Biden should have taken quicker action to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon before it even entered U.S. sovereign airspace?” to which 58.8 percent said Yes, 31 percent said No, and 9.8 percent responded that they were not sure either way.

The next question asked respondents, “How do you believe the handling of the Chinese spy balloon has impacted perceptions of America on the world stage?” Nearly 60 percent said that it made America look weak, 24.2 percent said that it had no impact, 10 percent said that it made America look strong, and 6.5 percent said they were not sure.

The poll was conducted between February 6 and 7 of 1086 likely general election voters, and has a margin of error of 2.9 percent.

On the balloon, Biden said:

“I ordered the Pentagon to shoot it down on Wednesday as soon as possible.”

“They decided without doing damage to anyone on the ground. They decided that the best time to do that was when it got over water,” Biden continued. “They successfully took it down, and I want to compliment our aviators who did it, and we will have more to report on this a little later.”
