Biden Joke About 'Hot Ground' In Maui Gets Ripped Online For Lack of Awareness

President Joe Biden stepped in it once again big time with a remark he made while touring the wildfire devastation in Maui.

On Monday, Biden landed in Hawaii to deliver remarks in the aftermath of the tragic wildfires that have claimed the lives of more than 110 people. Ahead of his speech, he met with local officials, exchanging handshakes and posing in front of a search and rescue dog. While petting the dog, he made a comment about the small boots the dog was wearing.

“You guys catch the boots out here?” Biden appeared to ask the press traveling him. Afterward, according to Fox News, he smiled and said, “That’s some hot ground, man.”

His reference to the “hot” ground after the country’s deadliest wildfire did not sit well with many people who expressed their outrage online.

“Nothing says leadership like yukking it up with the human-remains-sniffing dogs,” Harrison Metal founder Michael Dearing wrote on the X platform.

“Imagine your loved one burned to death less than a month ago and when Biden finally visits after his TWO vacations, he jokes around about how hot the ground is. Sick,” wrote conservative commentator Robby Starbuck.

“Read the room my guy,” conservative commentator Steve Guest added.

RedState writer Buzz Patterson remarked, “Can’t take him anywhere.”

“Dear Lord, let this just be the senility,” fellow RedState writer Bonchie added.

Just when you think it can’t get any worse,” added commentator and attorney Aleks Djuricic.

“Comments like this get the s**t beat out of my heavy bag,” wrote another user.

Fox News Radio host Jimmy Failla joked, “Biden landed in Maui and made a joke about how hot the ground was. Up next he’ll head to Pearl Harbor and order a round of Kamikaze’s.”

Several residents of Maui did not give Biden much of a welcome and in fact, some showed outright hostility to him after it took nearly two weeks for him to visit the ravaged island.

One sign in front of a residence adorned with American flags flying upside down read, “Traitor Joe Must Go!” according to a video posted online. Others stood on the side of a highway as Biden’s motorcade drove past and yelled obscenities at him.
