Biden Gives Stunning Response To Question About China, COVID-19

On Friday, as President Biden departed from the White House, he approached a group of reporters before abruptly turning his back on them in response to a query regarding the origins of COVID-19.

FBI Director Christopher Wray stated in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday that the COVID-19 pandemic was probably the result of a lab leak that occurred in Wuhan, China. Initially dismissed as a conspiracy theory, this theory has gained credibility in light of a similar analysis from the Department of Energy.

White House Correspondent for NTD News, Iris Tao, posted a video on Twitter depicting the encounter between herself and President Biden. The video shows Biden exiting the White House and approaching the group of reporters gathered outside. As Tao can be heard asking, “Will you hold China accountable?” Biden raised his hands before pivoting away from the group to board Marine One, the presidential helicopter.

“BREAKING: President Biden @POTUS was going to speak but turned away upon hearing my question on #Covid origin and whether he’ll hold #China accountable. @NTDNews @ChinaInFocusNTD @capitolreport,” Tao tweeted.

Although Biden did not respond to the request for comment in this instance, other politicians have pursued the truth from the government through legislative action. There appears to be significant political momentum behind a Senate bill calling for the declassification of all information concerning the origins of COVID-19 and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The bill passed unanimously and is poised to become law, Fox News reported.

“It’s been three years since COVID-19 upended our lives, and we’re still asking basic questions about the origins of this virus. That’s unacceptable,” Rep Mike Gallagher, R-Wis., chairman of the newly-formed House Select Committee on China told the outlet on Friday.

“The question of how this pandemic began is the most important question in the world, and we should not continue to waste precious time waiting for the Chinese Communist Party to suddenly cooperate with U.S. officials and open up access to the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Gallagher added. “It’s time for Congress to act and force the administration to declassify the relevant intelligence surrounding the pandemic.”

John Kirby, speaking on behalf of the White House, declined to give a direct response to a question from Peter Doocy of Fox News on Thursday regarding whether President Biden will sign the bill into law if it is also passed by the House.

“I know I’ve seen press reporting about some preliminary findings of a classified nature, but there’s still no consensus and that’s why the president has directed the team to stay at the work, because he wants to know. He wants to know as best we can know what the origins were so that we can work to better prevent a future pandemic,” Kirby said.
