TPUSA Kyle Rittenhouse Event at U of Memphis Disrupted by BLM Agitators

The University of Memphis was gripped by rising tensions and threats of political violence as leftist protestors disrupted a scheduled appearance by Kyle Rittenhouse, organized by Turning Point USA on campus.

Black Lives Matter demonstrators descended on the university grounds, chanting slogans against Rittenhouse, including “Kyle is a killer,” as captured in footage shared by TPUSA Frontlines and Julio Rosas. The protestors even infiltrated the event venue, defacing seats with the names of individuals involved in Rittenhouse’s self-defense case, with alleged inaction from school officials.

The Post Millennial reports that “The protestors also doxxed the phone number and address of the university’s TPUSA chapter president on social media, according to TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk.”

The TPUSA event, approved by the university since mid-February, faced hurdles in the days leading up to its scheduled date. University officials suddenly flagged TPUSA’s ticketing methods as “not fair and equitable,” prompting last-minute changes. TPUSA representatives met with school officials and agreed to post a new ticketing link. However, protestors managed to access and disseminate this link, potentially disrupting the event.

TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet condemned the university’s lack of action, stating, “The University of Memphis has taken unprecedented actions to undermine our event.”

Kolvet expressed frustration over the abrupt changes, limiting access to the venue and disappointing hundreds of students. Additionally, TPUSA alleged that school administrators leaked the new ticketing information to protestor groups, facilitating their efforts to sabotage the event.
