BORDER CRISIS: $6 Million Worth of Narcotics, Three Sex Offenders Detained Within 72 Hours

Chief Patrol Agent Jason Owens shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) successfully confiscated over 100 pounds of narcotics and apprehended three sex offenders within a 72-hour timeframe, as the Biden Border Crisis continues to reak havoc on the American southern border.

Owens emphasized, “Over $6 million worth of deadly narcotics & some very bad actors kept out of your communities by America’s frontline.”

During the operation, border patrol agents intercepted 186 pounds of liquid meth, 51 pounds of methamphetamine, and seized two firearms. Additionally, they apprehended two gang members involved in illicit activities.

Recent collaborative enforcement efforts between border patrol agents and the Laredo Police Department led to coordinated actions against two stash houses, resulting in the apprehension of 51 illegal immigrants in Southern Texas. This fiscal year, the Laredo Sector has already targeted 87 stash houses, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining border security.

In a separate development, a lawsuit challenging President Biden’s humanitarian parole program is set to be heard by Judge Drew Tipton, a Trump appointee, in Victoria, Texas.

Republican states argue that the program’s intent was for case-specific, urgent situations and not for accommodating up to 360,000 illegal entrants annually from countries such as Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

Border patrol agents have been vigilant throughout the month, with significant drug seizures at the Texas-Mexico border totaling over $20 million worth of cocaine and methamphetamine.

Recent U.S. Customs and Border Protection data indicates that officers have seized over 114,000 pounds of methamphetamine across the nation during the first ten months of fiscal year 2023.
