Trump Challenges Biden to Golf Match with $1 Million Charity Bet, Calls for Moderator-Free Debate

During a rally for President Donald Trump in Florida on Tuesday, Trump challenged Joe Biden to a game of golf, proposing that if the incumbent president wins, Trump would donate $1 million to any charity of Biden’s choice.

“I will give him 10 strokes aside and if he wins, I will give the charity of his choice—any charity he wants—$1 million,” Trump announced to the rally attendees. This challenge comes after Biden and Trump sparred over their golf abilities during the debate.

Trump proposed the 18-hole game take place on the golf course in Doral, Florida, where the rally was held. He added, “It will be among the most watched sporting events in history. Maybe bigger than the Ryder Cup or maybe the Masters. And I will even give Biden 10 strokes aside.”

In addition to the golf challenge, Trump called for a debate with Biden without any moderators, suggesting that Biden’s previous debate performance had turned many in the Democratic Party against him.

“I’m officially offering Joe the chance to redeem himself in front of the entire world … Let’s do another debate this week so that Sleepy Joe Biden can prove to everyone all over the world that he has what it takes to be President!” Trump said.

Trump has recently called for a similar debate format, proposing a “no holds barred” match-up without moderators. Despite his poor performance in the past, Biden is still set on debating Trump again in September on ABC News, though he has not accepted any additional debate invitations aside from the two originally scheduled.
