‘Women’s Swimsuits Aren’t Accessorized With A Bulge’: Riley Gaines Rips Adidas For Using Male to Model Swimwear

Women in sports advocate Riley Gaines on Wednesday blasted sports brand Adidas for using a biological male to model a line of women’s swimwear in the latest goofy example of an American corporation going completely woke.

On Wednesday, the former college swimmer reacted to a tweet regarding the brand’s new “Pride Swimsuit” by sharing a headline stating, “The new Adidas Women’s Swimwear Range modeled by…men.” The accompanying images depicted men wearing women’s one-piece swimsuits.

“I don’t understand why companies are voluntarily doing this to themselves,” Gaines tweeted. “They could have at least said the suit is ‘unisex,’ but they didn’t because its about erasing women. Ever wondered why we hardly see this go the other way? Women’s swimsuits aren’t accessorized with a bulge.”

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) tweeted, “I’m old enough to remember when women actually modeled women’s bathing suits, not men.”

Conservative activist McKayla Rose noted: “Don’t worry, when the cabal collapses and they lose all their money, ESG will cease to exist. Once that’s gone, these woke companies will revert back to normal and market to their actual base. Wokeness is only backed by money, it’s not organic.”

A post on the sports bran’s website said the Adidas x Rich Mnisi Pride collection of swimsuits was created by South African designer Rich Mnisi.

It is described as “a celebration of self-expression, imagination and the unwavering belief that love unites, the collaboration explores fluidity, color and patterns.”

“This partnership is one part of our effort to honor the LGBTQIA+ community alongside our Global Purpose partner Athlete Ally,” the statement noted further. “We’re all unique, but we’re all connected by love. That’s the message of this adidas swimsuit, designed in collaboration with Rich Mnisi.”

Gaines, a former top University of Kentucky swim champ who competed against Lia Thomas, a biological male who identifies as a female, during her collegiate career, has been a frequent advocate of keeping women’s sporting events all-female.

Earlier this month, during her appearance on “The Michele Tafoya Podcast,” Gaines discussed female athletes who support biological men identifying as women participating in women’s sports.

“It just blows my mind you have people like Brittney Griner, you have someone like Megan Rapinoe and those 37 other athletes that signed on, you have someone like Billie Jean King who was once a crusader for women’s sports. We really have Billie Jean King to credit for Title IX. And these women are now coming out, and, of course, they’re either done playing or at the end of their career. And of course, none of these three ladies I mentioned, they don’t have daughters to defend,” Gaines told Tafoya.

“So, hearing them advocate for male inclusion in women’s sports in women’s spaces, like locker rooms, it’s just disingenuous. It’s, to me, again knowing these women are done playing for on the verge or on the verge of being done playing, they have nothing to lose,” Gaines continued.

“They would rather be kind and inclusive and virtue signal, but in reality, it’s not inclusive to allow men into our sports. It’s exclusive. It’s exclusive to the very female athletes who Title IX was passed to protect,” she added.
