Why Are Democrats So Afraid of Election Audits?

Democrats are positively terrified of election audits that aren’t completely controlled by the political establishment. If there’s a chance an audit might reveal meaningful information, you can bet Democrats (and certain weak Republicans) will stridently oppose it. The only audits Democrats and their allies support are the ones designed to rubber-stamp previous conclusions.

The increasingly desperate attacks on the ongoing audit in Maricopa County, Arizona—particularly those intended to undermine the credibility of the auditors—show just how much the Democratic Party establishment fears the whole process. Their entire argument is based on sarcasm, scorn, and scare quotes.

The auditors are inspecting the paper that ballots were printed on? They must believe in a far-fetched conspiracy theory!

AZ County Officials Won’t Give Routers to Audit Team, Claim ‘Security Risk’

The Arizona Audit of Maricopa County for the 2020 presidential election began April 23rd at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The audit consists “of a recount of 2.1 million ballots cast, a forensic audit of the voting machines, and follow-up interviews with voters. Cyber Ninjas, a Florida-based firm, was hired to lead the audit” reports the Washington Examiner.

However, Maricopa County Officials would not give over routers to the audit team that was subpoenaed by the state Senate, citing “security” concerns. Deputy County Attorney Joseph La Rue sent a letter last week to Ken Bennett, a former Republican secretary of state in Arizona who is serving as the Republican-led state Senate’s audit liaison.

In the letter, La Rue said the county “cannot at this time provide the virtual images of routers” to the auditors because of “a significant security risk to law enforcement data utilized by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office as well as numerous federal agencies.”

The letter continued, “we had previously believed that the risk would be eliminated by redacting the law enforcement data on the routers and not producing it…But we were informed that redaction did not eliminate the risk. We also learned that if criminal elements or others gained access to this fata, it might compromise county and federal law enforcement efforts and put the lives of law enforcement personnel at risk.”

County spokesman Fields Moseley told the Washington Examiner it was county IT professionals who made the determination because information in the routers “can be used as blueprints to intercept sensitive county data” across more than 50 departments.

“The routers the Senate subpoena commanded the county produce support all of these departments, not just elections operations. This includes critical law enforcement data that, by law, cannot be disclosed, as well as Maricopa County residents protected health information and full social security numbers” said Moseley.

In an interview with Just the News, Bennett rejected the letter’s notion, stating subpoenas requested “access or control of all routers and tabulators…used in connection with the administration of the 2020 election” as well as “the public IP of the [routers]” stating “I don’t know why the routers in a tabulation and election center have anything to do with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office or numerous federal agencies.”

Biden DOJ ‘Going to Get Involved’ In Arizona Election Audit

An Arizona elections expert and ABC 15 reporter Garrett Archer broke the news on Wednesday evening that the Biden Department of Justice will be getting involved in the Arizona election audit. Archer tweeted “source at the county says DOJ is going to get involved in some capacity with the #azaudit. #azauditpool.”

Becker News reports:

The report follows upon a big development in the election tonight: A lawsuit settlement is stripping the signature verification process from the forensic audit, all but rendering the audit moot.

“After a lengthy lawsuit that saw the Democrats achieve few victories in their goal of stopping the audit of the 2020 ballots in Maricopa County, Arizona, they have reached a settlement with the firm involved in the audit and the Senate Republicans that will see the firm, Cyber Ninjas, cease verifying the signatures on early voting envelopes with the signatures on file from the voter,” the National File reported.

“With only 9 days left to go before the audit is set to be completed, signature verification will cease immediately,” the report continued.

Last week former President Trump said of the audit being allowed to continue after a judge declined to enforce a temporary restraining order, “Over 100 Democrat lawyers were sent to fight against this audit. The results will be very interesting for the USA and the World to see!”

“Why are the Democrats fighting so hard to hide the facts? I know why, and so does everyone else” added Trump.

Becker News continues:

The Department of Justice may also soon be involved ‘hiding the facts’ of the 2020 election. The DOJ’s intervention in the Arizona election audit would be an unsurprising development, despite it being constitutionally questionable to intervene in a state election process.

The Biden administration has consistently shown hostility to election integrity laws, such as those passed in Georgia and Texas.  In March, Biden called the Georgia election law “Jim Crow in the 21st Century” and “a blatant attack on the Constitution.”

It appears that the Department of Justice may be standing at the ready to conduct an actual “attack on the Constitution.” American citizens are no longer surprised.
