Video footage from the bodycam of the officer who responded to Paul Pelosi’s 911 call has been released by the San Francisco Police Department. The video shows the shocking moment that Pelosi was allegedly struck with a hammer by Dave Depape. Video footage also showed how DePape broke into the home.
The video begins with officers approaching the building. “Hey guys, how are you?” Pelosi is heard saying on the video, standing next to DePape.

“What’s going on, man?” One officer asks. “Everything’s good,” DePape responds.
The police officer ordered Depape to drop his hammer, to which DePape said, “um, nope.”
“What is going on right now?” the officer says before DePape slaps Pelosi in the head with the hammer.
“Oh sh*t,” the officer is then heard saying before they apprehend the suspect.
"I have absolutely no intention of seeing the deadly assault on my husband's life."

Another viedo shows how DePape was able to enter the home. Video from Pelosi’s home shows DePape violently using the hammer to break what appear to be side windows.

A 911 call between the SFPD and Pelosi also reveals that Pelosi was being diercted by DePape to put the phone down and to not call 911. He told the dispatcher that DePape wanted to stay in Pelosi’s home until then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi got home.

SF: This is San Francisco police, do you need help?
PP: There’s a gentleman here… Just waiting for my wife to come back, Nancy Pelosi. He’s waiting for her to come back but she’s not coming back for days, so we’ll just have to wait.
SF: Okay, do you need police, fire or medical for anything?
PP: Uh, I don’t think so… Are the Capitol police around?… They’re usually here at the house protecting my wife.
SF: No, this is San Francisco police.
PP: No, I understand. Okay. Well, I don’t know. What do you think? [inaudible]. Uh. He thinks everything’s good. I have a problem, but he thinks everything’s good.
This gentleman just came into the house and he wants to wait here for my wife to come home. Anyway…
SF: Do you know who this person is?
PP: No, I don’t know who he is. He’s telling me not to do anything.
SF: What is your address, sir?
PP: [Address given]
SF: What is your name?
PP: My name is Paul Pelosi. Anyway, this gentleman says that he thinks everything… He’s telling me to put the phone down and just do what he says. Okay?
SF: What’s this gentleman’s name?
[off mic]: My name is David.
PP: His name is David
SF: And who is David?
Depape: I’m a friend of theirs.
PP: He says he’s a friend.
SF: But you don’t know who he is?
PP: No sir. He’s telling me I have to stop talking to you, okay?
SF: I can stay on the phone with you just to make sure everything’s okay.
PP: He’s telling me to get off the phone.
