WATCH: Nancy Pelosi Has EPIC 'Please Clap' Moment

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi needed to tell the audience that they were supposed to applause while giving a speech on the White House lawn to celebrate President Biden’s singing of the Inflation Reduction Act.

During the announcement with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Pelosi called the act a “landmark law,” which she said is “driving down costs for kitchen table items for America’s working families.”

“Mr. President, thank you for unifying and inspiring a vision of a stronger, fairer, safer future for all our children. Your extraordinary leadership has made this glorious day possible,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi then had to provide a hint to the audience that they should clap, saying “that’s an applause line,” finally resulting in clapping.

“And let us salute Leader Schumer (and) his colleagues in the Senate for their extraordinary leadership and the success in bringing this bill to the floor,” Pelosi said.

Schumer said “That’s an applause line!”

Biden addressed the crowd later to celebrate the Inflation Reducation Act despite reports showing that it will be extremely difficult to get prices back to pre-pandemic levels.

Fox News reports:

“Tuesday’s economic report — inflation at 8.3% year-to-year, though just 0.1% from July to August — was a harsh reminder of how difficult it might be to hit the Federal Reserve’s inflation target of 2% a year. Even as gasoline prices have declined since June, the costs of housing and food remain especially high in a way that suggests further Fed rate hikes and more economic pain to bring down prices.”
