Democratic politicians continue to demonstrate that the mask mandates they continue forcing upon others have absolutely nothing to do with COVID-19 “science” and everything to do with authoritarian control.
In recent weeks, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who has been violating his own pandemic mandates since the get-go, was seen sans mask alongside Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti at the L.A. Rams/San Francisco 49ers NFC Championship Game mugging it up with celebrities including Magic Johnson and other elite Democrat voters.

SoFi Stadium has an additional mask mandate requiring fans to wear one unless they are eating or drinking.
“The Governor acknowledged that he took off his mask for a few moments during Sunday’s game. He continues to encourage all Californians to do their part to get through the pandemic and this latest surge, including wearing a mask and getting vaccinated,” Erin Mellon, communications director for Newsom’s office, said in a statement to Fox News.
Right. ‘Just a few moments.’
Mind you, California implemented a universal indoor mask mandate in December that was extended to run through Feb. 15, but no matter because masks and social distancing and all that other COVID ‘mitigation’ stuff is just for the little people since, you know, elites don’t really spread the virus.
Now, hundreds of students in Oakland were literally segregated from the rest of the student body because they dared to protest the absurdity of the school’s (and state’s) mask mandates.
“Our own governor doesn’t follow these rules, so why should our children have to be wearing a mask?” asked parent Jennifer Henry. “He’s at this football game with all these people.”
Another parent, Jennifer Poth, noted that her 8-year-old son went to school without a mask on Tuesday, which led school officials to call her on the phone.
“They called me to ask me to pick him up, and I refused. I said, ‘No. It is your job to educate my son, and he has every right to be there,’” Poth said.
Later, it turns out, the school “forced him to go outside in 43-degree weather and sit there and try to do schoolwork,” which subsequently led Superintendent Dave Kline to issue an apology.
“More students districtwide went to class without a mask on Wednesday,” reported KCRA 3.
Another video posted to Twitter showed a group of seniors who had been segregated inside a gym and were made to sit ‘socially distanced’ from one another.
“Oakdale CA students throughout the district are refusing to wear masks. High schoolers have been sent to the gym and filled it with more unmasked students on their way. These kids are following the governor’s example and we are here to legally support their rights,” Let Them Breath noted in the video.

“Today there are a few schools throughout town where protests have taken place related to the COVID-19 mask mandate. These gatherings have been small in nature and have been peaceful,” the Oakdale Police Department wrote on Facebook.
This is a Democrat-driven controversy, as Fox News reports:
Newsom faced a recall vote last year that was partially fueled by outrage after photos of him in the swanky restaurant the French Laundry circulated in 2020, showing him socializing with a large group of people from outside his household while not wearing a mask. Newsom ultimately defeated the recall.
Unless and until massive amounts of Americans rise up and simply refuse to comply with this insanity, in the face of abject Democrat hypocrisy, it will continue.
