‘Stranger Things’ Star Says She's Done With Hollywood After Alleged Proposition From Film Producer

Grace Van Dien, star of “Stranger Things,” announced that she is quitting acting after she claimed that a film producer suggested having a threesome with her.

The 26-year-old actress made the allegations against an unnamed producer from “one of the last movies” she acted in, in an online video, according to the Daily Mail.

“The last few projects I’ve worked on I didn’t have the best experiences,” Van Dien explained. “One of the last movies I did, one of the producers asked me to … like he hired a girl that he was sleeping with, and then he had her ask me to have a threesome with them.”

“So, like, that’s my boss,” she added. “And I didn’t [do it], and I cried and I was so upset.”

“But when people are like, ‘How is streaming better for your mental health?’ That’s how,” the actress continued. “I get to stay inside my home and play video games, and I don’t have my boss asking me to have sex with him. That’s how this is better for my mental health.”

Van Dien, who gained fame for her role as Chrissy Cunningham in the fourth season of “Stranger Things,” said becoming a streamer instead will give her more control over her career.

“That’s why I’m going to stick to streaming for a little bit, and I hope that’s not a huge wrench in your plans for me, but I’m happy here,” Van Dien explained, according to the Daily Mail.

“My cast mate, she was there with me and was like, ‘Did I just hear that correctly?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah,’” she added. “And she was like, ‘You want to go take a walk?’ I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And we just had a miserable time. We cried a lot on that shoot.”

According to reports, the actress stated that she reported the alleged incident to her management, thinking she had “handled it in the right way.”

Van Dien’s upcoming films include “Alaska,” which is a horror flick, and comedies “Aaah! Roach!” and “Silver Star,” per IMDb.

There has been no public response to Van Dien’s allegations as of press time.

Van Dien was October 15, 1996, in Los Angeles, California. She is also known for her roles in the TV series “The Village” and “Greenhouse Academy,” as well as in the films “The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time” and “Charlie Says.”

She’s the daughter of actor Casper Van Dien and actress Catherine Oxenberg. She started her acting career in 2015.
