On Tuesday the Senate confirmed Kristen Clarke, Biden’s pick to lead the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division. Clarke has a very specific idea of “Civil Rights” which include comparing cops to the Ku Klux Klan and supporting the infamous Jessie Smollett hate crime hoax.
The Senate Judiciary Committee’s Twitter handle, @JudiciaryDems tweeted Tuesday afternoon: “BREAKING: The Senate has confirmed Kristen Clarke to lead the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. Not only is she eminently qualified and the ideal person to advance our civil rights and restore credibility at the Division, she’s the first Black woman to hold this role.”
In order to get Clarke confirmed, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer “was forced to use a discharge petition to advance Clarke’s nomination out of the Senate Judiciary Committee after Democrats and Republicans deadlocked” Axios reported.
Clarke also promoted the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax and “falsely claimed that Jacob Blake was unarmed when police shot him” reports Daily Caller News Foundation. Back in April, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas tweeted, “I’ve been sounding the alarm about just how radical Biden’s pick for DOJ Kristen Clarke is. Not only does Clarke support defunding the police, she participated in a conference celebrating the lionizing cop killers, she’s compared police officers to the KKK.”

When at Columbia University, emails show Clarke recommended an essay titled, “Mumia, ‘Lynch Law’ & Imperialism” for an academic journal and panel discussion. The essay compares the police to the KKK. Clarke’s email to presumed mentor reads:
Whoever thinks Chattel Slavery is gone, is not with us in the real world. Some aspects of it have changed, like cars, modernized for the times. The old chains are now less visible, bitted by the media and schools and laws. The plantations are called ‘Plants’ or Factories or whatever they call the myriad squalid money-making machines in which the rulers exploit Black people and the whole working class.
The Klan is now the Police, with Blue uniforms replacing the sheets and hoods. The corrupt racist Judges are petty Klan administrators, The “Kleagles” of the bourgeois state’s “Klaven”, their courts, the midnight torch burning torture sessions, before the neck stretching and black corpse burning.
