Pelosi Threatened to 'Punch Out' Trump Following Jan. 6 Capitol Riot

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatened violence against then-President Donald Trump following the riot at the U.S. Capitol Building on Jan. 6, 2021, according to footage released by Alexandra Pelosi, a documentary filmmaker and the daughter of the California Democrat.

The Speaker was seen talking to her chief of staff who said that the Secret Service had “dissuaded [Trump] from coming to Capitol Hill,” CNN reported.

“If he comes, I’m going to punch him out,” Pelosi bragged to aides. “I’ve been waiting for this. For trespassing on the Capitol grounds, I’m going to punch him out. And I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy.”

Pelosi has made it a habit of using bellicose language as well as behaving in an uncouth manner toward Trump. Following Trump’s February 2020 State of the Union Address, Pelosi stood and brazenly ripped her copy of his speech. And in July of that year, following an interview in which Trump indicated he may not accept the results of the November election, the Speaker told MSNBC that if Trump refused to leave office upon defeat, he would be “fumigated out.”

“The fact is, whether he knows it yet or not, he will be leaving. Just because he might not want to move out of the White House doesn’t mean we won’t have an inauguration ceremony to inaugurate a duly-elected President of the United States,” she told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program, in what turned out to be an eerily accurate forecast.

“I’m second in line to the presidency and just last week I had my regular continuation of government briefing,” Pelosi continued. “This might interest you because I say to them, ‘This is never going to happen. God willing it never will.’ But there is a process. It has nothing to do with the certain occupant of the White House doesn’t feel like moving and has to be fumigated out of there because the presidency is the presidency. It’s not geography or location.”

Regarding Alexandra Pelosi’s view of her mother, she told CNN’s “New Day” in January 2019: “She’ll cut your head off, and you won’t even know you’re bleeding.”

Host John Berman began the exchange by asking, “If you can tell us what Speaker Pelosi thinks about going in —”

Alexandra cut him off and said: “John, we have known you for two decades. Do you think I’m the kind of person who is going to come on CNN and talk about my mother? Is that who you think I am?”

But Berman persisted, “I’m asking you, you were a fantastic political reporter. How much does she approach meetings with President Trump, A, and B, just what are your feelings about this person, who you know quite well, becoming Speaker of the House for a second time?”

“She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding. That’s all you need to know about her. No one ever won betting against Nancy Pelosi,” Alexandra said.
