Democrats who have no problems with open borders as long as they don’t have to deal with the fallout are stepping up their complaints of border governors who are flooding blue cities with illegal migrants.

Among them is New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is once again ripping Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as he continues sending busloads of illegal aliens to the Big Apple.

Adams continued his complaints against Abbott during remarks at a news conference Sunday morning at the Port Authority, where he greeted an incoming bus of some 40 migrants, only 14 of whom got off in New York City, Fox News reported.

“This is horrific when you think about what the governor is doing,” Adams said.

“We’re finding that some of the families are on the bus that wanted to go to other locations, and they were not allowed to do so,” the mayor said. “They were forced on the bus with the understanding that they were going to other locations that they wanted to go to, and when they tried to explain they were not allowed to do so.”

Contrary to Adams’ claim, Texas officials have said they do not “trick” migrants into getting on buses, that they are doing so of their own free will.

Nevertheless, Adams has accused the governor of using innocent people “as political pawns to manufacture a crisis” after around 50 migrants arrived in the city on Friday. He also complained on Sunday that Texas officials were not giving New York City officials proper warning that migrants were en route — much like the Biden regime refuses to inform states and cities when it flies illegal aliens into various locations in the dead of night.

“They’re not letting us know when the buses are leaving. They’re not letting us know what are the needs of the people on the bus,” Adams said. “They are not giving us any information, so we’re unable to really provide the service to people en route.”

Added Commissioner of NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs Manual Castro: “What Governor Abbott is doing, continuing to play with the lives of people, it’s just pure cruel, cowardice and disgusting.”

On Friday, Abbott noted on Twitter that the first shipment of migrants had made it to the Big Apple.

“The 1st bus of migrants has arrived in NYC,” he wrote. “Biden refuses to do his job, so Texas continues to take unprecedented action to secure our border.”

“NYC is the ideal destination for these migrants,” Abbott added. “They can receive the services Mayor Adams has boasted about w/in the sanctuary city.”

As for what is “cruel” and “cowardice,” one could argue that Joe Biden’s open-border policies, which have led to massive increases in human trafficking along with the associated child abuse, rape, and violence, fit those descriptions. And that’s not saying anything about the dramatic rise in the smuggling of deadly drugs that has led to tens of thousands of additional overdose deaths — of Americans — since Biden took office.

What’s really galling, however, are the complaints by Democrats who are just now having to deal with a fraction of the illegal immigration that Texas and Arizona have been dealing with for 18 months.

Seems like open border policies are just fine for Democrats when they don’t have to deal with the fallout.
