Musk Declares War on 'Woke Mind Virus' - Says It Must Be 'Defeated'

Twitter boss Elon Musk has sounded a dire warning about the future of the country regarding the so-called “woke” mindset that has gripped nearly every pillar of society, from primary education and academia to Hollywood to corporate America.

Musk made his observations on his platform Monday morning after he was booed when he made a surprise appearance on stage with comedian Dave Chappelle during the latter’s Sunday night show at the Chase Center in San Franscisco.

As Chappelle introduced Musk, many in the crowd booed, which led the comedian to quip, “It sounds like some of the people you fired are in the audience,” adding, “All of those people who are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious, they have terrible seats. It’s all coming from way up there.”

On Monday, Musk declared: “The woke mind virus is either defeated or nothing else matters.”

Musk, who has admitted in the past to voting for Democrats and to supporting Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020, revealed some ‘wokeness’ at his own platform last month, posted a video of a discovery he made in a closet at the platform’s San Fran headquarters: T-shirts emblazoned with “#StayWoke.”

Separately, Musk also acknowledged a tweet from conservative documentary filmmaker and producer of the 2020 vote fraud masterpiece, “2,000 Mules,” Dinesh D’Souza, after he observed that no liberals are being let back on Twitter because they were never kicked off to begin with, regardless of the lies and false information they posted.

“We don’t hear much about Democrats and leftists being let back on Twitter. Why? Because they were never kicked off in the first place. Their lies and misinformation simply escaped all scrutiny. Censorship has been deployed as a one-way operation against conservatives @elonmusk,” D’Souza tweeted.

“Correct,” Musk responded.

The world’s richest man is a fan of free speech, but he also recognizes blatant insubordination when he sees it, especially from woke employees.

In June, he cracked down on a budding mutiny at the groundbreaking company, firing some of the staffers who were behind an open letter to executives that was critical of some of Musk’s “embarrassing” and “distracting” tweets.

The letter begins, “An open letter to the Executives of SpaceX,” and adds:

In light of recent allegations against our CEO and his public disparagement of the situation, we would like to deliver feedback on how these events affect our company’s reputation, and through it, our mission.

Employees across the spectra of gender, ethnicity, seniority, and technical roles have collaborated on this letter. We feel it is imperative to maintain honest and open dialogue with each other to effectively reach our company’s primary goals together: making SpaceX a great place to work for all, and making humans a multiplanetary species.

As SpaceX employees we are expected to challenge established processes, rapidly innovate to solve complex problems as a team, and use failures as learning opportunities. Commitment to these ideals is fundamental to our identity and is core to how we have redefined our industry.

But for all our technical achievements, SpaceX fails to apply these principles to the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion with equal priority across the company, resulting in a workplace culture that remains firmly rooted in the status quo.

The New York Times subsequently reported that the company investigated those behind the letter, and some had been dismissed.
