Fox News' Sean Hannity to Host Town Hall With Trump

Former President Donald Trump is set to host his second televised town hall event soon, only this time with a different network.

Earlier this month, CNN managed a rare ratings boom when it hosted a town hall with Trump, the 2024 presidential frontrunner, moderated by Kaitlan Collins.

Now, Trump will appear with Fox News’ Sean Hannity at a similar event.

A network spokesperson confirmed to NTD News on Friday that the event will be pre-recorded in Clive, Iowa, on June 1 and will be broadcasted at 9 p.m. ET on the same day. During the town hall, Hannity will engage with the audience by taking their questions and addressing various topics concerning the 2024 presidential race.

Trump’s appearance on CNN marked his first time he had been on that network since his pre-presidential years in 2016. Additionally, the event served as a significant televised platform for Trump as he launched his 2024 presidential campaign.

During the event, Trump shared his vision for the country while addressing various concerns raised by the audience and Collins. The former president was asked about his plans to address pressing issues such as rising prices, the national debt crisis, the mental health crisis in the United States, and the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“Next week’s event will be Trump’s second major town hall on a cable news channel since he announced his third campaign for the White House on Nov. 15, 2022, at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida,” NTD News reported.

In March, Trump made his most recent appearance on Hannity’s program to address allegations concerning potential charges by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office. Subsequently, in April, Bragg filed 34 felony-level charges against the former president, accusing him of falsifying business records in connection to alleged hush money payments.

In the past few months, Trump’s relationship with Fox News has become strained. The former president has expressed his dissatisfaction with the network, particularly criticizing its favorable coverage of Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who Trump sees as his biggest rival to the 2024 nomination.

DeSantis declared his candidacy during a glitchy Twitter Spaces event co-hosted by the platform’s boss, Elon Musk.

“Just watching Fox News. … They are desperately pushing DeSanctimonious who, regardless, is dropping like a rock,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “FoxNews has become the DeSanctimonious Network, but it will never work because he doesn’t have the goods. Without my Endorsement, he was a dead man walking. Even with Fox, he’s already pretty close to that again! ” he added.
