Florida Man Busted With Massive Amount of Illicit Child Images, Police Say Stash 'Largest' They've Ever Seen

A Florida man is likely looking at decades in prison after police arrested him for allegedly possessing a staggering amount of illicit child images.

According to reports, Johnathan Jhovanni Hernandez was initially arrested late last month and charged with two counts of possessing child pornography, two counts of transmitting it, and one count of using a two-way device in the commission of a felony. His arrest was facilitated following a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and a months-long investigation, The Blaze reported.

The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office noted, “At that time, we told you the investigation was just getting started and there would likely be more charges. What we should have said was there would likely be A LOT more charges – like more than anyone in our county … ever.”

Hernandez, who had been released on bond, was arrested again on Tuesday and was hit with a staggering 1,184 charges of possessing child porn.

The outlet noted further:

The Special Victims Unit seized 15 electronic devices from the home of Hernandez in Avon Park. Following a second investigation into just one of the suspect’s devices by the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office, Hernandez was hit with an additional 1,182 counts of possession of child pornography last week.

Highlands County Sheriff’s Office detectives say Hernandez’s stash of child porn is “the largest they have ever seen.” Hernandez also faces four counts of possession of bestiality images.

He’s now being held on a $2.4 million bond, so it’s likely he’ll be in jail until he’s convicted — and he will be, no doubt.

“There is no telling how many charges he could face if detectives went through all the devices,” the Highland County Sheriff’s Office said.
