Ex-BLM Leader Charged With Interfering In Homicide Investigation Of Man Killed In His Home

A fatal shooting occurred at the home of 20-year-old Mazin M. Mohamedali after which he tried to thwart the investigation

A former Iowa-based Black Lives Matter leader has been charged with interfering in a homicide investigation and also faces one count of accessory after the fact, an aggravated misdemeanor. A fatal shooting occurred at the home of 20-year-old Mazin M. Mohamedali of Iowa City, Iowa after which he tried to thwart the investigation.

19-year-old Quincy Russom was found dead at Mohamedali’s apartment at 7:53 p.m. on February 1. Police say 30 minutes transpired between the time of the shooting and when they were notified. The Gazette reports:

In a new criminal complaint, police allege Mohamedali had specific knowledge that Sammy Hamed, 22, had murdered Russom and waited to call 911. Police said Mohamedali lied during questioning, gave false descriptions of people involved and withheld other information that would have led police to Hamed more quickly. Hamed was arrested later that month and faces a first-degree murder charge.

The criminal complaint alleges Mohamedali deleted his call history and Snapchat from his phone. In a recorded conversation, Mohamedali allegedly admitted to lying to police about the homicide and who was involved so police would not find out about the origin of guns tied to the investigation, police said.

Mohamedali was previously arrested on charges that spun out of the original homicide investigation. Police served a search warrant on Feb. 24 at Mohamedali’s apartment and found 56.13 grams of marijuana in his closet and 42.5 ecstasy pills. He was arrested on two counts each of controlled substance violation and Iowa drug tax stamp violation and one count of keeping a drug house.

He is scheduled to go to trial Aug. 24.

This is not the young 20-year-old Mohamedali’s first encounter with law enforcement and dangerous criminal behavior. The young man “previously identified himself as an Iowa Freedom Riders leader, was arrested in June 2020 for what authorities said were his actions during Black Lives Matter protests. He initially faced six charges, including a felony, and was jailed in Marshall County. But he ultimately pleaded guilty to just one simple misdemeanor.

Mohamedali was arrested May 1 and released from the Johnson County Jail later that day, according to jail records.”

Affluent Chicagoans Fleeing Due to Leadership Inability to Calm BLM Violence

Many people, including President Trump himself, noted during their Republican National Convention speeches that Democratic-run cities are experiencing violence and looting, as the leaders whose policies are to blame are safely hidden in privileged areas. However, areas like Chicago have become so bad, affluent neighborhoods are no longer safe and citizens are getting out of dodge.

“Incidents of widespread looting and soaring homicide figures in Chicago have made national news during an already tumultuous year,” writes the Chicago Tribune. “As a result, some say residents in affluent neighborhoods downtown, and on the North Side, no longer feel safe in the city’s epicenter and are looking to move away.”

Liberal leadership has been unsuccessful at subduing violence from the Black Lives Matter’s highjacked movement. With no end of destruction in sight and spontaneous eruptions of violence, while residents say “they understand why protesters and rioters have poured onto the streets of downtown, and some acknowledge that crime is worse in other parts of Chicago” they still want out reports the Chicago Tribune.

Some people “agree with protesters that something systemic needs to be changed” but they “don’t want to wait it out here in the city, fearful of stepping outside at night and hoping for things to maybe get better.” A 30-year-old nurse who lives in the River North area said, “not to make it all about us; the whole world is suffering…but I do think that I’ve never had to think about my own safety in this way before.”

Hopefully, this will be a lesson to Chicagoans and similar cities, that they need to vote out their Democratic leadership who refuse to stand up to the violent protesters and also refuse to accept help and assistance offered directly from President Trump. 60-year-old Neil Spun has lived in Chicago for over half his life and is deeply conflicted about moving. A state worker, Spun said “there have been rights before, and looting. It just seems to me now that the city isn’t doing anything about it. I don’t see this getting any better, and so I’d like to leave.” Residents would be far better off voting in new leadership instead of succumbing to liberal policies that change their communities beyond recognition.

Biden Fuels Racial Flames: BLM Protesters Would Have Been Treated ‘Very Differently’

Biden lamented “I wish we could say we couldn’t see it coming. But that wasn’t true. We could see it coming.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden has campaigned on and promises to be a President that will work across party lines and be a ‘Uniter’ not a ‘divider.’ But the divide is exactly what he did when speaking on Thursday from his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware; far, far away from the issues taking place in Washington, D.C.

Biden, along with many Republican leaders, condemned the mob overtaking of the U.S. Capitol. However, he also further incited the flame amongst his followers that this is a racial issue. Saying the attack was one of the “darkest days in the history of our nation,” Biden lamented “I wish we could say we couldn’t see it coming. But that wasn’t true. We could see it coming.”

“No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday there wouldn’t – they wouldn’t have been treated very, very different than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol…we all know that is true, and it is unacceptable. Totally unacceptable” said Biden.

What is unacceptable, is for the president-elect to embolden racial tension instead of looking at the facts. BLM rioters and “allies” set up bricks prior to protests to be used to cause harm and destruction. There was zero ambiguity that a goal was complete and utter devastation; of private property, government property and small businesses, literally destroying lives and livelihoods for months on end.

So yes, a photo that Biden’s granddaughter sent him “of police in full military gear lining the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during a Black Lives Matter protest last year” was the appropriate precaution to take against a movement that had proven itself time and time again, in city upon city, to turn deadly.

Nonetheless, Biden helped feed the liberals’ racial and divisive narrative by claiming, “they weren’t protesters. Don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob. Insurrectionists. Domestic terrorists. It’s that simple.” Those are big and pointed words coming from a man who refused to condemn any of the riotous mob, insurrectionists and Domestic terrorists from earlier this year until polls showed his silence could hurt his electability.
