Elon Musk Responds After Antifa Leftists Smash Windows During Violent Protest of Charlie Kirk

Billionaire Twitter CEO Elon Musk wasn’t happy with professional rioters with Antifa after dozens protested a speech by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at the University of California-Davis on Tuesday.

On Tuesday evening, approximately 100 protestors surrounded a venue with the intent to disrupt an event headlined by Kirk. The event had been organized by the university’s Turning Point chapter.

During the protest, which was mainly composed of individuals wearing black attire, confrontations erupted between them, law enforcement officers, and other students, including event attendees. Protestors smashed windows, threw eggs, used pepper spray, and obstructed people from entering the University Credit Union Center, where the event was scheduled to take place, Fox News reported.

At least two people were arrested, the outlet continued.

“Not a peaceful protest at all,” Musk tweeted as video of the incidents began to appear on his platform.

A number of individuals supported Musk’s post, concurring that the protestors were violent. UC Davis issued a statement following the event, reporting that one police officer was hurt during the altercation, according to Fox News.

“Outside the UCUC, about 100 protesters gathered and for brief times blocked the main event entrance and the pathway to the entrance,” the school said, admitting there were “minor incidents.”

It added: “One officer sustained an injury when he was jumped on from behind and pushed to the ground, and two people were arrested and taken to Yolo County Jail for allegedly painting graffiti on an exterior wall of the University Credit Union Center, or UCUC, where the event was held.”

The university disclosed that the demonstrators near the northeast entrance had shattered ten glass window panes on the doors. Despite their attempts, the protestors did not succeed in gaining entry to the building and eventually dispersed from the location. The school also confirmed that there were no arrests made concerning the destruction of the glass, Fox News noted.

Videos and photographs captured at the university depict the protestors holding signs that showed their support for trans and queer people. Additionally, they carried umbrellas, which they used primarily to conceal their identities during the demonstration.

Other protesters threw eggs and other objects, the report added.

“There were some reports of people being pepper sprayed by others in the crowd. Aside from these pepper spray reports, no major physical injuries were reported and no one requested treatment for injuries,” UC Davis said.
