BIDEN MOMENT: President Calls GM CEO 'Amy Barrett' — Her Name Is Mary Barra

President Joe Biden called the CEO of GM “Amy Barrett” while delivering “remarks at an American technology company that will benefit from passage of the President’s CHIPS and Science Act and more chips being made in America,” The White House website says.

Biden made the comment during a speech where he said that coal mines would be shut down across the country.

“We’re working with the auto industry to create an electric vehicle future, providing tax credits to buy electric vehicles as well as… installation of 500,000 charging stations around the country so there’s gonna be—500,000 gas stations. Not a joke, 500,000, because people are going to say, ‘I’m not buying a vehicle because it can only take me X number o miles’. By the way we’ve invested billions of dollars in battery technology. We’re now changing the nature of the life of a battery. Folks, it’s not cheaper to generate electricity. From wind and solar than it is from coal and oil. Literally cheaper, not a joke.

“I was just, how are we going to accommodate that transition? I was in Massachusetts about a month ago at the site of the largest old coal plant in America. Guess what? It cost them too much money, no one’s building new coal plants because they can’t rely on it. You used to have all the coal guaranteed for the existence of the planet, so it’s going to become wind generation.

“All they’re doing is saving a hell of a lot of money and using the same transition… coal fire, electric.

“We’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar. Also we’re providing tax credits so that people can buy energy-efficient appliances, whether its your refrigerator or coffee maker.

“Put solar panels on your home, and weatherize your home. Save a minimum $500 a year for the average family.

“We’re doing all this while reducing the federal deficit,” said Biden.
