Biden Getting A 'Wall' Around His Home While Southern Border Remains Open and Chaotic

On President Joe Biden’s first day in office, he reversed nearly all of former President Donald Trump’s immigration and border security executive actions — policies that worked well to stem the flow of illegal immigration.

In addition, Biden also halted the construction of the border wall Trump promised as a centerpiece of his 2016 presidential campaign.

But it’s not as if Biden isn’t in favor of walls; he is. Just not those that will protect the country, only walls that protect him and his family.

As reported by Fox News:

After spending much of his summer vacation on Kiawah Island, South Carolina, President Biden is heading back to his multimillion-dollar beach house in his home state of Delaware, where he’s building a taxpayer-funded security fence at a cost that’s ballooned to nearly $500,000.

Biden is expected to arrive at his $2.7 million summer house in the North Shores community of Rehoboth Beach on Saturday after spending the last couple nights in Wilmington, Delaware, according to data released by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). On Wednesday, Biden was briefly at the White House signing of the $739 billion Inflation Reduction Act into law.

The report goes on to note that the wall for Biden’s estate has been in the works for months.

Nearly a year ago, in September 2021, the Department of Homeland Security handed out an award of $456,548 to a company in Sussex County to build a security fence around Biden’s home. Why the former vice president has not needed one before now is a mystery.

In any event, the contract with Turnstone Holdings LLC for the “purchase and installation of security fencing” at the residence has since ballooned to $490,324 over the summer, likely due to increased costs for materials brought on, in part, by continuing supply chain issues Biden’s Transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, has yet to address.

Construction on the fence began last September and is expected to be completed by June 6, 2023, Fox News reported.

Meanwhile, the U.S.-Mexico border remains porous, dangerous, and chaotic, with massive numbers of migrants crossing illegally into the country since Biden took office — not to mention the historic levels of drug smuggling, which has led to record numbers of overdose deaths.

In July, the Senate Republican Conference published a paper calling Biden’s border crisis the worst in the country’s history.

It states:

Under Biden’s immigration policies, illegal border crossings have soared to all-time highs.
• In Fiscal Year 2021 alone, U.S. Customs and Border Protection experienced 1.7 million encounters
with aliens at the southern border, the highest number ever recorded in a single year.
• That number does not include people who evaded border patrol officers.
  — According to the internal Border Patrol estimates from January through August of 2021, more
than 273,000 migrants avoided apprehension and entered our country illegally.
  — These are new records.
Fiscal Year 2022 is already sharply outpacing 2021’s record-breaking numbers.
• U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz anticipates in the next few days, the U.S. will hit one million
encounters with migrants attempting to illegally cross our Southern border since October 1.
• That’s one million encounters in the last six months, outpacing last year’s record-breaking numbers.
• Last month, CBP encountered nearly 165,000 illegal immigrants at the border.
  — That was the highest total for February in the Department of Homeland Security’s history.
• For the last 12 months in a row, there have been over 150,000 encounters at the Southern border, eight of which broke records.

But never fear: At least the Bidens are getting a security fence.
