Harmeet Dhillon, an accomplished conservative lawyer who once served as the vice chair of the California Republican Party and is a noted expert on civil liberties, condemned the FBI following its raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate Monday evening as she issued a lengthy list of recent abuses by the agency.
Dhillon did not hold back as she took the agency to task over actions that, to a growing number of Americans, appear overtly political in nature, favoring Democrats.
In a tweet, Dhillon noted: “This FBI: * Pushed Russia collusion hoax * Spied on law-abiding Americans * Lied to FISA court * Ignored Hillary’s server escapades * Ignored Biden Family criminal activity * Persecutes journalists at Project Veritas * Treats J6 trespassers like terrorists * Goes after PTA moms * Ignores drug crimes at border * Allows drug cartels to operate freely in the US.”
“I could go on,” she continued, before aiming specifically at Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland: “Our FBI has become a total disgrace, and Merrick Garland is so deeply lacking in judgment that he is unfit to serve as AG. Americans deserve better than this shameful crew.”

The famed attorney has also said that she saw a lot of problems surface during the 2020 election.
“Some of the practices that we saw in the 2020 election were truly outrageous. They included, but are not limited to, without legislative input changing the rules for submitting absentee ballots in states like Wisconsin, which has some specific regulations about that; just simply ignoring those and allowing people to submit ballots who are not entitled to under state law; concealing from observers what happened in the counting rooms, creating doubt in the public,” she said.
Dhillon then added that the country should proactively “guard against” voter fraud and stop “federalizing our elections,” while also calling for more “activism in the states to make sure that stronger voter laws are passed at the state level that protect against this.”
She then railed at Democrat claims of voter suppression.
“I’m an immigrant to this country, and I can tell you that this country has the freest access to the vote for people of all colors and backgrounds and even, you know, places of origin like myself, of any country in the world. I would say it is — because of the fact that we don’t monitor our voter rolls very well — it is almost too free to vote,” she said.
“It would be much more legitimate to require some form of ID, as many states do legally. We don’t have that, so it is all too free to be allowed to vote in this country,” she concluded. “So the myth of voter suppression or race-based voter suppression in this country, or voter suppression because partisan activists cannot give out gifts in the line to vote, this is a foul lie being pushed by the Left that is truly shocking, and the people who are saying it know better.”
After the FBI’s raid and agents removed some 15 boxes of reportedly “classified” materials, the 45th president said that it was political in nature and meant to keep him from running again in 2024.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said. “Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”
