Donald Trump slammed the liberal and corporate press for their overwhelming but unsurprising negative coverage of his record-setting conversation with Elon Musk on X Spaces on Monday night.
Many headlines focused on brief technical issues—likely due to the high number of listeners attempting to access the live interview—dismissing the two-hour, wide-ranging discussion as lacking new content and being merely a “ramble.”
CNN's Dana Bash blatantly lied about Trump and Musk's conversation last night.
She falsely claimed that Musk and Trump said that it was "okay" to drop nuclear weapons on Japan in WWII.

“I spent 2 1/2 hours last night talking to Elon, a fantastic guy, getting all-time record Views/hits,” Trump stated. “And all the Fake News wants to report is that the servers crashed (because of the tremendous volume!), and the show opened a little late. What they should be reporting was the incredible number of people that were listening. I absolutely HATE the Fake News Media. So bad for our Country!”
Users on X shared headlines from various media outlets that echoed similar sentiments, describing the interview as an “unmitigated disaster” and claiming that Trump “repeated the same old talking points” with a “lisp.” Musk commented on these headlines, calling them “predictable” and saying, “They’re such NPCs,” adding that this negative coverage would only drive more people to listen to the conversation and see for themselves how much the legacy media distorts the truth.
CNN IS FREAKING OUT.
According to ELON MUSK the Trump/Elon space has crossed over 1 BILLION views/discussions on other pages combined.
Legacy media is DEAD…

It was later clarified that the so-called “lisp” was a result of Spaces’ audio compression.
Despite the negative press from mainstream and left-leaning media, Trump and Musk’s discussion covered a broad range of topics, including illegal immigration, inflation, deregulation of the energy sector, foreign wars, artificial intelligence, and even the possibility of establishing a government efficiency commission, which Musk offered to join during the conversation.
Almost all of legacy media will trash the Trump conversation, thus driving total listeners probably past 200+ million 😂 https://t.co/44Mhr2hkAu

Over one million people listened to the live event, and by Tuesday afternoon, the recording had garnered over 24 million plays.
Although the Spaces event experienced a rough start, Musk later revealed that the delay was due to a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack on the stream. Musk also extended an invitation to Vice President Kamala Harris for a similar interview.
